So many people hating on the guy for not raising this woman's child since it's not fair to the child. It's not his responsibility and the woman can go find whatever man she cheated with to go raise THEIR child together.

I have left reddit for Voat due to years of admin mismanagement and preferential treatment for certain subreddits and users holding certain political and ideological views. The situation has gotten especially worse since the appointment of Ellen Pao as CEO, culminating in the seemingly unjustified firings of several valuable employees and bans on hundreds of vibrant communities on completely trumped-up charges. The resignation of Ellen Pao and the appointment of Steve Huffman as CEO, despite ini…

I agree with you. While I wouldn't have sex with a 12 year old, I think our legal age should be lowered. Children are extremely educated, compared to when I was 10 years old. This is only going to increase as time goes on.

common sense laws If only we had these. The issues that arise are people who are 18+ dating 18 and under. I was in a similar issue with my ex-wife. I transferred High Schools. I was 17, she was 15. I graduated and joined the military, but we continued dating. Everything was fine, her parents loved me, she loved me, my family was so-so about her. However, one day her mother and grandmother found out we were having sex. Next thing I know, I'm being handcuffed to get fingerprinted and so forth. The…

Are you saying the age of consent is in the right place?
/r/MensRights23/10/14 05:38 PM

I disagree with the statutory rape though. Pretty sure a 16 or 17 year old male or female can consent to having sex and know what they are doing. If 17 is legal consent age, I'm pretty sure a 16 year old a month before their birthday would make the same decision.

What's with the link?

I understand that part, which in a biological viewpoint, men tend to be stronger and taller. However, I am saying there is no mention of a certain gender. Also, self defense still applies, regardless of height or strength.

Watch the video towards the end. It is much better. While Whoopi may not agree with men hitting women, in my opinion, she understands that if you hit a man, don't expect him to not hit you back.

LEO is a Law Enforcement Officer. Every department is different. However, from the link you provided, I don't see any reference to targeting men specifically. I can see where the one who could conflict the most injuries come into play, but the golden rule is self defense, which the link states: Whether a party acted in self-defense or in the defense of another I don't see any reference to "men" in this article. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I disagree. As someone who directly worked with LEOs, if a woman hit you first, they would take her in. If they can't find out who started it, most the time they take no one in and walk away after it has calmed down. There is a line from self defense to the aggressor. Which a lot of people don't know. If she is off of you and stopped hitting you, you are no longer in self defense.

Well, the author was pretty against Whoopi because of her statement.
/r/MensRights31/07/14 09:53 PM

Well, I don't quiet agree with that last statement. My girlfriend hits me daily. Though, I don't see it as physical abuse, since i feel it's more playful. Though, she does understand not to hit me out of anger, because I will hit her back. She is not a current day feminist though, as she prefers equality for both genders and doesn't support one specific gender.

I don't think so. She is at the age where people don't give a dam. However, I think she has a lot of respect in the world for her life, so how can you not listen to her?
/r/MensRights31/07/14 07:08 PM

I understand. I think Whoopi believes a man shouldn't hit a woman, but she also understand that you can't hit a man, and not expect him to hit you back. I'm ok with this mindset. She has her own tastes in a man, but she respects the equality as well.

Don't you know that everything is sexist towards women in our world? You just don't understand feminism... geez...
/r/MensRights16/07/14 03:42 PM

Agreed. A magazine that promotes on one day that men are all rapists, than on the next day, they promote 101 ways to get a man to notice you. I'm not denying the fact that women and men are treated differently in other countries, but to make their problems part of America... is wrong.

Well, I use to be an Atheist, but I am now Agnostic. From an academic and scientific stand point, we don't know, hence we can't rule it out, no matter how unlikely it is. Though, I disbelieve all religions known to man, since they deny basic human rights.

Because the term feminism has moved from the ideology of women having equal rights to men, to women being superior to men. Thus, women who are feminist, want other women to follow suit so they can pursue this ideology. I think the main issue is that people try to encompass the world when they argue with feminism. I understand not all countries have the same rules and treat people differently, but I live in America, and I am more concerned with what happens here. Women and men are treated equally…
