I think a lot of us were ready for love and wanted a relationship. That’s what makes things so hard. So when we find a better fit we wanna pick up where we left off. I think you’re probably right it’s just hard. I have no family and my attempts to build one destroy me.

I dunno I think sell the house and take the payments. Most likely whatever she is offering is worse for you, but I am cynical

When everyone in life wants to say you are the bad guy - you gotta believe in yourself and say fucking bring it on. It’s actually real easy to make someone look like a bad person, all you gotta do is be shitty wait till they freak out and say I don’t know what you’re talking about. However later they’ll still be shitty and life is a process.

Sorry but putting her on the deed after the affair was a poor decision- the house in now belongs to both you of. As far as I know it would be considered a shared asset regardless of who put in what.

If she thinks you are even crazier and more reckless she’ll drop it, don’t want to give advice but it worked for me. Once she believed I was willing to tank it all for pride she started treating me with respect until I was gone.

Forcing the sale through the courts will be expensive, and if that comes out of the home cost she’ll receive significantly less money from the sale if you can get it taken out of the house sale. I’m not an expert but threatening that route might work? What’s your lawyer say?

5 months? No, maybe not. 5 years, in cases like this often yes. If you build up a make believe world in your head it’s going to be a rude awakening a lot of the time, not everytime I guess.

If I could I’d hop in my car with dog and go for a long adventure. Probably southwest for winter than summer up in the pnw/up but that’s just me

I know this sub is about divorce, but I want to give you unsolicited advice on dealing with narcissists. You lose by playing. Narcissists are only capable of taking not giving. You might have invested so much in this person that you feel like if you lose them, you’re losing 11 years of all that you gave. You already lost that, and you can not get it back. I would recommend talking to a GOOD therapist, preferably someone who specializes in narcissism or something to cope with the grief, confusion…

You’ll find the love you give to the world eventually my guy, just keep your head up and keep smiling. Things will turn out ok. I know what you mean about the weaponized therapy language bullshit, bullshit man hating creeping its way into otherwise happy enough lives. Whatever it is what it is. I don’t think I’d ever date a super social media leftist again, and I say this as someone extremely on the left just more traditional in my values I guess.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
