I feel like her video has some tunnel vision to it - she takes meet online as “met on dating apps” but there are many ways people meet online like social media followings, gaming, special interest groups etc

I muted that subreddit a lot time ago. It’s full of trash, low effort takes.

So you want men to take it personally? So that they can get bitter and upset? And grow resentment towards women? This is just world fallacy in a bow tie.

I know what they are and they are not helpful in these discussions.

So accurate, this post is unhinged and illogical. OP is just telling on themselves. What goes on in the minds of others is not my concern, it’s their actions I care about. If OP is comparing themself to their gfs ex unprompted, they need to look inward.

This might seem reductionist, because it is, and I agree with your premise on objectivity being impossible to determine; but the way I simply compare is - if I had the option to change sexes at birth and live my life in my equivalent shoes, I’d still choose to be male. Like I said it’s reductionist, so don’t read into it too much. When race, income, location, etc. are introduced it doesn’t become such a dichotomy anymore, in my eyes at least. We obviously can’t choose our birth sex, and I’ve nev…

I’m not any of those things, I just have my opinion. I’m a below average height minority male in a wasp city with MDD in the west. I’m well aware of all the things you mentioned: LLEG, male disposability theory, etc. I’m aware of how my fellow men are treated. I’d still rather be a man and I still think women have it worse.

Women have it worse, let's not be obtuse OP. Yes men's problems exist. I think u/SmallSituation6432 hit the nail on the head re. prioritizing what gets addressed by society at large. I also agree with their point on the useless observations being made in the context provided.

I agree with your first few points, improving maternity and paternity leave terms where I’m from would largely help. It’s pretty niche, but I’m referring to cases such as rape in a state (assuming you live in the USA) where abortion is illegal. I suppose one could give it up to adoption. I’m not robbing anyone of their agency, but unfortunate circumstances do occur.

That’s a bit dishonest, Prof. Goldin proved that the gap does technically exist, because it does. It’s just not for the reasons that are commonly stated. In her paper Goldin calls out that the largest contributor is motherhood so it’s more like an earnings gap between married men and women. Is motherhood a choice? Sometimes. That’s a different conversation.

I agree, it’s enraging that people can just make text blue and other people lap it up.

Down voting this for the rage bait title and inaccurate interpretation of the data in the study. 5% of men AND women are having 50% of the intercourse as described in the study. And where does the 66% come from? Multiple comments here have already called this out, so I won’t pile on.

Not dating men they’re not interested in makes them shitty women?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/23 02:27 AM

You’re missing the point. It’s not that he was supposed to treat Waka as shitty as he treated the girls, he should treat all of his guests with the same level of respect he showed Waka.

That’s what I’m getting at, I don’t think they’re overly concerned about the women being fragile but more the more common fear of rejection. I would agree that if someone thought all women were too fragile to be made uncomfortable, that is a sexist take.

I don’t think this issue has its roots in sexism.

Literally happened on a recent episode where they were discussing SA/rape and half the panel and Waka Flocka walked out on him - he treated the girls walking off like trash but didn’t keep that same energy with Waka. Invertebrate is accurate.

At least you acknowledge the hypocrisy. I find that a lot of these experiences are formed by the environment my peers and I grew up in, personally.

Hm, interesting take. What about men that put a lot of effort into their appearance? Personally, I’m not very materialistic, so spending a lot of money on a metal band with a gemstone on it just doesn’t make fiscal sense to me. For me, it’s about the commitment and intention - but everyone views things differently. Thanks for sharing!

What is SMV and how do you mean? The women are screening the men by using other women to screen for them first?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
