Some of it is false accusations that are being made to embarrass important men and/or generate attention for the accuser. And some of the accusations are real, but the women were hesitant to come forward for a long time because the men who abused them were powerful, and because many women often will just try to forget about a wrongdoing instead of making waves.

Some hobbies are better for meeting women than others. If you collect coins and stamps, I wouldn't normally bring that up in front of a woman. If you go hang gliding or horseback riding, maybe figure a way to work that into the conversation.

If she says she has a boyfriend, she either actually has a boyfriend or really doesn't want to go out with you. Even if it's an obviously fake boyfriend who is from Canada and won both a Medal of Honor and the Nobel Peace Prize, go work on a different woman. Act like you believe her for the time being, and check back in a week or two and see if things have "changed".

Sometimes you end up spending more time in the mental ward than you would have done in prison. This is why the insanity plea mostly happens in murder cases. It's not as if insane people didn't do lesser crimes like shoplifting, jaywalking, or speeding. So even certifiably crazy people will just do their time so they can move back in with Mom.

It sounds like just another 1970's pop psychology book. I don't doubt that women fake emotions to manipulate others because men do that too. But everyone has emotions. The author wants people to believe that women are more rational than they really are.

Why would a rape victim go to the media before going to the police? I can think of several reasons. She may have read about other rapes and assumed that it is normal to go to the press instead of the police. She may have wanted to forget about the rape when it first occurred, but is now upset that her rapist is a hugely successful and respected person. Or she might be cynically trying to profit off of her own personal tragedy.

I live in the Midwest and I have had sexual relationships with a couple Baptists. Bill Clinton is a Baptist, so religion isn't always the deterrent that one would think it is. May I ask what you particular belief system is? I'm guessing that a Baptist would sooner date an agnostic over say, a Muslim or a pagan.

It's not a small town. There are about 300,000 residents. I'm openly agnostic. It's not the first thing I bring up if at all but I am honest about it. I have let them get away because of that. I meet most of my prospects through the Internet. But I suspect that a PUA who did that might get fingered pretty quickly. I like big butts and I cannot lie. Seriously though, I'm attracted to healthy women, but BMI isn't the only barometer of a woman's health. If she's 400 lbs, then we're just friends. But I'd have no problem dating a moderately overweight woman. Weight is a highly visible measure of a person's health. You can't tell from her photo if she smokes, uses drugs, is mentally ill, or has cancer. You can tell if she is fat, and this is why fat people are singled out to be picked on.
