Let me ask you this: What do you really want? Do you care about the number on the scale or do you care about wearing clothes you used to wear? Do you care about the number on the scale or do you have about feeling strong and powerful? Do you care about that goal weight or do you care about looking and feeling better than you have in years? Hit the weights.

I think one of the biggest lessons I learned from Meditations (and I read it many years ago) was this revelation that people haven't fundamentally changed (perhaps ever) but certainly not in the last several thousand years. "Tell yourself: The people I deal with today will be meddling, arrogant, dishonest, jealous, and surly. They are like this because they can’t tell good from evil." I think some of Marcus' tenants from this same section are pretty fantastic: "Choose not to be harmed—and you wo…

If you want to learn about business strategy-- I think Good Strategy / Bad Strategy is a decent place to start. Jump into some Michael Porter after that and get the basis of how a 5 forces analysis works.

at choosing men. Nothing wrong with very prepp/conservative style. Just look at what you said-- you may come across as intimidating to a lot of the men in your social group who still haven't even figured out what they want. (How many guys do you know wandering around semi-directionless after law school?) Maybe look for "Young Entrepreneurs Meet Ups"

I have no idea who this is-- but watching this video when he started talking about his friend "and she was like a 10" and the exaggeration afterwards? Yeah. I am willing to put money down that he was lying.

I was about to post something like this-- saying "Come home so we can fuck" probably won't work. Think about something you can inject earlier in a conversation (maybe have a few on stand by) find the one that interests her the most and as the night starts to wrap up-- reference it again and invite her to check it out.

as a guy living in chicago-- I can say that I don't date girls from the suburbs... it is too much of a pain in the ass to get out there. That said-- you just need to find a group of guy friends in the city. Have a reason to go in that isn't the girls and by having the friends here? Bam. Always something to do, somewhere to crash if things don't go well, etc.

never had a comment on it. However, I keep my hair rather short. Make some wise crack "Really?!? it was here just a minute ago...you must have scared it off..."

Certain nightclubs like the Funky Buddha Lounge, etc.? Look-- like I said before-- they are girls. they are integrated into the rest of society. I get that you want asian girls and that is fine but why not just go to the bars you already go to-- the odds are the people around you will be from a similar socio-economic world as you with similar interests to your own. Giving you more to speak about than just their ethnicity. Why not try meet asian gals at the bars and places you already go? Funky B…

Not trying to sound snarky-- but really? I wrote out this response but I am just kind of baffled and I deleted it. Funky Buddha Lounge seems to draw a lot of marketing/ad types-- there are a lot of asian women in that business world but they certainly aren't there because they are asian. You like asian women. That is fine. However, if you are looking for 1.5 Gen or 2nd gen or later generations don't try to find them in "ethnic" areas-- they are all over the goddamn city integrated into every fac…

It has been popular in cities for at least 7-8 years. A ton of cultures have the hookah. Also, when I was a smoker I used to go to these things and had to stop smoking to take a fucking smoking break. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hookah#Health_effects who knew!

honestly, she is your roommate and she is your friend-- if you sincerely consider her a friend just fucking tell her. "Listen, I'm single. I am going to start going out and meeting girls...I'll try to keep it down late at night. If I get too loud just bang on my door. "
