This is what I was going to suggest. S-corps pay out differently, as in you can take profit sharing and set your own salary, and might have some retirement benefits. This is something you need to talk to an accountant about, but I think my accountant was suggesting it as a way to maximize my retirement and minimize my taxes.

I'm looking at going from SAHD to alternating weekends now. I'm broken over it. My teen daughter tho says that's what she wants. I'm also the low earner, but I'm not going to fight for 50-50 over my daughter's will. Not sure what's going to happen now. Money is going to be a problem for me, and just not being a dad anymore, feeling like I lost everything.

Bring it, I'll bend over for this. I was SAHD for 7 years. Every day I picked the kid up, dropped her off at school so ex didn't have to sit in traffic or miss a meeting. Did all the school projects, all the teacher meetings, did grocery shopping, had food on the table at breakfast and dinner, summer was museums, swim lessons, summer camp, summer school, catching her up because the incompetent private school ex had to send her to just didn't believe in math.
