And a large part of that was the realization that she had no inherent value as a man and had to initiate conversations with women.

I hate this pop neuroscience stuff. The same people who maintain that an 18 year old girl is too immature to date a 25 year old guy are the same people who think a 12 year old boy is mature enough to cut off his Johnson.

She has it all planned out, she just needs the final accessory to complete her "picture." A friend of mine got married and his wife was like this. Had the whole wedding planned since she was in high school (in her mind). My bud was just "the groom." He had no say in anything. Then, Ms. "Perfect wedding" cheated on him after a year and when he confronted her, she said he became "boring."

Copying my comment from above because relevant to this: IMHO, the search for "chemistry" and "tingles" is one of the main reasons marriages fail. Marriage is about building a family unit and building a strong relationship. "Tingles" are often antithetical to this because (in my experience), "tingles"/"passion" are accompanied by intense arguing, etc. and those relationships tend to be a roller coaster. Marriage is not prince charming comes along and happily ever after. A lot of marriage is sacri…

I remember having this conversation with a group of friends in college (in retrospect, I was being a classic beta orbiter). One of the girls was complaining how there are so few available men on campus. I said, "thats not true, look and me and Bob, and our friends...none of us have girlfriends." She responded: "Well, you guys don't count...I mean, you would be good marriage material, but not someone I would want to date." So the translation was: "There are so few Chads on campus who are interest…

Its almost like maybe we should have some laws preventing companies from colluding and becoming too big to fail?.....O wait....we do, we just don't enforce them.

I dated an older woman in law school who did nearly the same thing. I didn't pay for meals, got to do a lot of fun stuff I otherwise couldn't afford, and had lots of fun in the bedroom. She was a bit annoying, but all and all it was a good arrangement.

Hell, the other night I was waiting for a takeout order at one of those overpriced italian restaurant chain things. The bar was all divorced, alcoholic Karens and retired grandpas. I made the mistake of making eye contact with a Karen (to be fair, it was eye-to-chest, then to eye) and boy did she perk up and wiggle in her seat and put on the biggest smile. I did a curt half-smile of acknowledgment and played with my wedding band and saw her deflate on the spot.

imagine the rant if some guy said "I like you for your personality". But thats exactly what they were asking for in the 70s-80s: Stop objectifying me and love me for who I am! 2020s: Why is no one objectifying me?

No one deserves anything. Like sucks in varying degrees for different people and is not fair. Sometimes the consequences of your actions are disproportionate to the significance of the act that caused them. Thats life: Deal.

So, back in my single days, I had just gotten engaged and I am at the bar and a "mom" and her slutty friend come in. "Mom" was recently separated (her husband was "abusive" and she had 3 kids) and slutty friend was trying to get her laid. There were so many red flags with these ladies I thought I was in the old USSR. I was trying to be polite but was also having an internal struggle between my head and my other head (fiance lived 4 hours away and only saw her every couple of weeks). So, I finall…

In my single days, I always loved the after-bar with "friends" who would say "And we totally are NOT having sex." To which I would respond..."Soooo...you are thinking about having sex with me then?"

Same here. I have been to a handful of therapists. The female ones just had me talk about my feelings and never discussed solutions... never kept me in the loop as to what was going on. I was supposed to "trust the process and let it work." After two visits, my male therapist pinpointed the toxic work environment I lived in and its negatives effects on my self-esteem and confidence, and basically changed my outlook on life. I now work to live, not the other way around. That change took care of…

recently, it seems popular to attribute success to purely "luck" and completely downplay hard work, sacrifice, rational risk-taking, and innovation.

Generally humans respond to 3 types of authority to prevent undesirable behavior: laws; religion; society. Being a cheating whore with bastard children from 4 different dads, maxed out ccs, herpes, and morbidly obese is now Legal, not prohibited by religion (because we killed it 50 years ago), and is now PROMOTED by society. Really, we have no chance....just laugh and watch it all burn down.

The female list is 3 scrolls long. The male list is really only the absence of 6 characteristics: Don't be a cheating whore; Don't have kids; Don't have an STI; Don't be a bitch; Don't have shitloads of debt; Don't be a fat whale. Generally most men can work with women who satisfy those criteria, but its the male equivalent of the 6-6-6 demands from women.

Don't count on it. Nothing is going to "change" so long as the current system and culture is in place. Like an oversized alcoholic, our society cannot improve until it hits rock bottom and rebuilds itself from the ground up. So, no, nothing is going to change--it will only get worse--until the economy collapses, there is a huge natural disaster, or another major war.

Thats because THERE ARE NO POOR DECISIONS anymore...just "consent" and "choice." So long as she chose it, its just as good as another choice someone made and you have no place to judge. A 2 bit cam-whore is just as "valid" and "worthwhile" as any other woman and how dare you shame her.

It has even bled into "traditional" women. My wife is about as non-feminist as a woman can get these days, but still frequently puts her job ahead of the kids. And the other day when I asked my daughter what she wanted to be, she said: "A mom." And my wife said "But you can be anything you want to be."/"And I want to be a mom." I said, "whats wrong with that?" My wife had to stop and think for a moment and said, "you know what, nothing." To me that exchange demonstrated just how far feminism has…

I have never met a therapist that wasn't half bonkers. I think it is a job requirement. They deal with their own mental illness by helping others fuck up their lives

Why when women say "conversation" do they always mean "listen to me bitch about all the drama and random shit in my life"? They never want to sit down and talk about philosophy, science, literature, etc. At best they will parrot all the political bs that goes around on the online echo chambers and virtue signal about how "progressive" she is.

She "expresses her sexuality on reddit"? WTF is wrong with people. Whatever happened to "expressing your sexuality" within the confines of a committed LTR? I know, I know, that just makes me a "boomer, square man." Whatever; what guy in their right mind wants an LTR with someone who advertises the goods all over the town square?
