Confident but desparate? No way. You are not confident. There is something needy and women see through it. Read Models by Mark Manson.

Read No More Mr. Niceguy and Models. That'll give you a push in the right direction.

Read the Kinowear bible. It's advice for starters is looking for fitting clothes and you can always safely combine the colors blue, black, white and grey in any way and any combination. (As long as it's not completely black or white and keep it at three colors or less.) http://www.kinowear.com/

Go outside and meet more people. Seriously, you're in the friend zone and if she picks another guy as her boyfriend, why would she pick you? It's harsh, but you rejected yourself by not being honest and forward with yourself. Go read No More Mr. Niceguy by Glover and Models by Mark Manson. You can keep her as a friend, but look elsewhere for a date. Stop wasting time pining over her.

Keep reading and then read Models by Mark Manson. Oh, it's already recommended. No More Mr. Niceguy eventually let's you see some sides of yourself you might never noticed. You can only say "I'm not a Nice Guy" if you've read the book all the way through.

Saved! I would also suggest the Kinowear Bible for style. Models by Mark Manson and No More Mr. Niceguy also fixes some inner issues if the outer fixes don't work.

They'll like you more if you just do whatever you want to do. Go read No More Mr. Niceguy by Glover.

I disagree with that statement. No More Mr. Niceguy by Glover states: "Nice guys think that if what they do doesn't work, they need to do it more even though it wouldn't work at all." You need a different approach sometimes, not just more and more effort in one thing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
