I have no children younger than 10 and am happily married. Who the hell is going to sue me for child support? And if they did so unjustly, why should I not be able to request a paternity test? Which is my legal right where I live; zero legal fees, zero hospital bills. Besides, I am not arguing against paternity testing, I just argue that it should be at the request of either the presumed father, the mother, or the child.

Your numbers are on the high side for civilised countries. UK = 1.6%. I agree that paternity fraud is bad. However, I don't believe in forced testing. Never heard about the latter, but I would totally favour paternaty test in the event that one parent reqests it. The mother too actually, if she has doubts. It should be a right. I believe it is a right in most of the civilised world actually.
