You know man it's a little odd to consider but the definition of rape legally requires some sort of penetration. Of course men will commit rape via penetration more often than women. The definition of rape should be very carefully broadened to include sexual crimes that are rape without penetration but tantamount to rape as a crime.

Prison rape statistics are what really opened my eyes. Besides the fact that men are incarcerated more than ten times as often as women. While in prison they're raped more than free women. So many years of dropping the soap jokes too. I don't think this invalidates feminism but without it's sincere, and determined message we'd still be making the same jokes about men today.

The point I'm ultimately working from is that neither sub fulfills it's mission adequately but this sub's users spend a lot more effort on making points for r/feminism than r/feminism does making points for r/mensrights. It's largely horrible, and mostly nothing constructive has come out of all this feckless contention. No basis. No common ground. No reconciling of ideas. Just pop-drama over and over again.

Yea that's probably a little much but I've tried moderating groups impartially a mere fraction the size of these two and it's a nightmare. It's basically a full time job explaining the rules to a never ending torrent of people who usually just disappear once you've made your point, or worse they refuse to acknowledge it on any objective basis and just endlessly harangue your sub. I agree in principle the precedent is that men have been allowed to get away with sexual assault for nearly all of human history, and only very recently has anything changed on that front. So while this is a solid point in principle in practice it's moot. The pendulum is swinging and it's in everyone's interests that we keep pushing it towards equilibrium. That's the ultimate goal.
