Its not because she expected her fellow citizens to defend her. It belongs here because she expecting specifically the men to defend her because she was a woman. So it works twofold where it’s “You’re a male therefore its your job to protect” and “I’m a female so therefore I deserve to be protected even at the cost of your safety” If she had just said she was disappointed that no one helped her it would be fair. But singling out the men in particular shows her entitlement.

Yea and it was really obvious how much the writers were sucking off the feminists last episode. It was so bad that it really soured what was other wise an amazing episode. I wish people would realize you can display a female character is strong/smart in other ways than making ALL the men around them dumb/weak. Last episode was sexist & it compromised the integrity of multiple characters.

Considering children do not have social status I don't think its talking about them. Even if so, the sentiment is the same. Being the confident kid that doesn't need to be verified by his peers is an Alpha, and probably will be as an adult.
