Part of it is that traditionally male tasks are ignored when counting “contribution”. e.g. yard work, maintenance, taking out trash and other heavy lifting, “honeydew” lists, etc…. Many women feel that these are inherently a man’s job but that the remaining housework should be split 50/50 to be “fair”. Or worse (like my ex-wife) believe that a man should do 70-80% of housework to make up for the sins of past generations.

Giving oral sex is better when she is shaved. Pubes in nostrils is not fun. Other than that it doesn’t matter.

I don’t disagree with these points. But still, you’d WANT to be part of a family, wouldn’t you? It’s just not realistically attainable. Just because you’ll never win the lottery doesn’t mean you wouldn’t like to win the lottery, right? Or maybe that’s just my generation and young people see it differently.

It sounds like you do want a family then, but a happy family life is probably an unrealistic goal. I don’t disagree. I’m divorced, I don’t see myself getting back into a relationship for several reasons, but it doesn’t mean I don’t still like the idea of a happy family. But it’s unattainable. That’s different than what OP and other responses are saying though. They don’t even want to consider a family. I guess we’re moving towards women considering their girlfriends as family.

I’m an old gen-x-er. Serious question. Is wanting a family not a thing anymore? Co-habitation has (had?) it’s benefits. Double income meant living in a better place and you had less to worry about if one of you got sick or lost a job. Kids meant watching mini versions of yourself grow into adulthood. Planning vacations and going to exotic places once a year. Regular (if sometimes boring) sex that didn’t have to involve elaborate mating rituals in bars every Friday night. To love someone and be l…

Women who are concerned with marrying “down” should not marry “down”, period. The woman will only end up resentful for “settling” leading to both people being miserable. Guys…trust me, you don’t want a relationship with a women who thinks she’s better than you. It’s better to stay single than to be miserable your entire life. That is true for all parties involved.

Men don’t talk about their sexuality because doing so within earshot of a woman is considered sexual harassment. Even “talking with the boys” or “locker room talk” is considered a sexual crime by many. Women don’t have to worry about that and are free to talk about their “exploits” and it’s just “harmless girl talk” and “that’s just what girl friends do.”

Yep. Both man and woman can be equally inebriated. Woman can still claim rape for him taking advantage of her while she was drunk. She gets a pass. He does not. Reminds me of this quote from As Good As It Gets: Receptionist: How do you write women so well? Melvin: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability

All these suggestions are good if you’re getting matches. However, the majority of men aren’t even getting any matches with real women to begin with. So these suggestions seem to be about fixing online dating for women, not men.

It’s garbage quality. A 1 carat for $3500 is going to look so much better than that gaudy 3 carat piece of crap. It signifies being shallow and not valuing quality. The perfect ring for this person.

I’ll try to stick to the question “Why should a woman choose to date a man she knows is using porn?” If it bothers you, don’t date a man that uses porn. Just know that the vast majority of men use porn and so you are severely limiting your dating pool. But if it bothers you and you can’t find a man that doesn’t use porn, then maybe staying single is the best option for you. It sounds like you have a visceral reaction to porn use in general which would doom a relationship if you ever discovered y…

Makes sense then. FDS is all about absolute control. Pornography is a threat to their use of sex to get what they want. Their strategies only work if the man is constantly horny and is only allowed to get relief through them.

Where did you get the conclusion “feminism benefits men more than women”? The article implies it has made women less happy but has not affected the happiness of men either way. On a side note, in counting the happiness levels in men, they state that the number of men in prison has exploded but that prisoners were excluded from the happiness metrics. How is that a fair calculation? “Men’s happiness levels remained the same assuming we now exclude the ones most likely to not be happy.”

ABSOLUTELY! I prefer average women. So-called “hot” women are a turnoff for me. If you’re hot, I assume you live life on easy mode and are probable entitled and spoiled. No thanks. Even sexually I’m more attracted to average than supermodel.

Men get told “you’re not entitled to sex” when they are friend zoned. You’re not entitled to sex as payment for being nice. Women should be told “you’re not entitled to relationships” when they have sex with Chads but complain they can’t get any of them to commit. You’re not entitled to a relationship as payment for sex.

Uh...no. If we knew what would turn on our partners, we would do it. But nothing we try works, and it’s always somehow our fault. I gave up initiating sex because the answer was always “no”. So she always initiated. Then after a while she got mad that she was always initiating. So I tried initiating the next time. Her response? “Oh so now all of a sudden you expect me to give you sex?” Women are cray cray.

I don’t know what you mean by “no proof”. Your Reddit history is almost entirely anti-male, not just anti-MGTOW. That’s not healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/21 03:07 PM

Why do you care? MGTOW simply believe that it’s better to stay single. Is that not their prerogative? Why the need to “prove them wrong”? If they’re losers, isn’t it better for women as well that these men they stay single? Your post and comment history is pretty thoroughly misandrist. I think this post has less to do with MGTOW and more to do with general hatred of men.

The metoo movement has a lot to do with that. Men are much more leery of approaching women nowadays unless it’s obvious that she’s already interested in them. And women don’t make it obvious.

Metoo happened in the past 10 years. There’s no doubt that this has impacted the willingness of men to casually approach unknown women or even ask out women they know.

Having kids ruined my sleep schedule. I used to be a really good sleeper. Caring for a baby several times each night forever messed up my sleep schedule. It’s been years since they’ve been babies but I can no longer sleep through the night. I wake up 1-2 times per night and then have difficulty getting back to sleep.

It often leads to unhappy marriages and divorce. Since the men they have sex with are not the same men they can attain a relationship with, women will often settle for men they don’t find optimally attractive. As they grow older and lose their sexual appeal, they feel trapped and resentment that they “could have married someone better when they had a chance.” This leads to general unhappiness/anger and a dead bedroom as the idea of having sex with this average man just brings up bad feelings. Ev…

We have 50/50 custody and they’re old enough now to not need a nanny. We both had careers. I could work from home part time while she could not at all, and we had a nanny when I had to be at work. She changed careers and went back to school which we both paid for so I was fully supportive of her career. Maybe I could have picked better. But I could have picked worse too. When you’re young, you don’t see the red flags. You’re just hoping for a family and loving wife and constant sex and a 50/50 s…

Bullshit. My ex-wife was a slob and a hoarder. She did the cooking but I did all the cleaning and child care. And she absolutely hurt my career by not allowing me to ever work late because then I was “neglecting her”. I turned down a once-in-a-lifetime executive career because my first child was only a few months old and I didn’t want to leave the family for weeks or months at a time. So forgive me if I can’t swallow that bullshit that “women do the housework”. Since my divorce, I’m in a much be…

The issue is that most women won’t even consider marrying some who has less or makes less money than them. For men that’s not much of an issue. So during divorces, men on average are the ones screwed financially. From a mans point-of-view, the fact that women won’t date down financially is because she doesn’t want to get screwed in a divorce. So the whole argument that it shouldn’t be an issue for men is utterly hypocritical.

Society tells men that their sexuality is disgusting. Look at the difference in how flashing is treated. A women flashing her breasts or privates is celebrated. A man flashing his penis is a sexual predator. Topless photos are cherished and awarded. Dick pics are gross. Of course I’m not advocating male flashing. But just imagine how that affects a mans psyche knowing that the mere appearance of part of his body is enough to traumatize a woman and is an assault on that person so severe that it d…

Women can do whatever they want. However men should be aware that if a woman “settles” for you later in life, there’s a good chance she’s forever going to be unhappy that she didn’t end up with one of her hotties, and she will regret that she didn’t try harder with them and will grow to resent you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/20 01:42 AM

Probably not. It would be a red flag for low sex drive and thus a likely sexless marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/20 12:52 AM

I dispute that. For men interested in LTRs, they end up with the worse deal because marrying their equal means an unhappy marriage because the wife feels she settled and ends up hating the man.

Depraved? The MGTOW movement simply asserts that the traditional male roles are harmful to men and that men are better off not marrying or cohabiting and are happier being single. How in the world do you get “depraved” from this? I think you’ve got some serious misandry going on.

I don’t understand this aversion to sex. Sex is fun. Sex is pleasurable. Why wouldn’t you want it when it’s offered to you? Now take the post above and replace men<->women and sex<->talk and it sounds ridiculous. How can I be expected to respect you if all you’re ever interested in is talking instead of sex? You’re just objectifying me as someone to have a conversation with.

Divorced man here. I do believe the statistic that women have a skewed perception of average male attractiveness. Because of this, when they do get married, they feel like they’ve settled for someone less attractive. For a while the marriage is great. But over time, this makes them bitter, especially as they get older and feel like they’ve “wasted their youth” on you. So they treat you with contempt which leads to both being miserable. I see the pattern over and over where the husband is always …

Yea, I agree which is why I called them suppositions and not facts. I do think there are uber-men out there with insane N counts though. Wilt Chamberlain for example who estimated he had been with 20,000 different women.

I think women see it as inherently disgusting. Dick picks are considered “gross”. And showing off your genitals in public is considered sexual assault. Of course I’m not defending flashing. But the fact that just the sight of the male penis can be a traumatizing experience for a woman seems odd to me. Annoying yea, but not something that would rise to the level of sexual assault.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/20 01:43 PM

So you’re suggesting that OKCs results were due to differences in men’s and women’s definitions of average? Men consider only women in their distribution whereas women consider both men and women?

Aren’t you proving OPs point? Your not addressing how women treat men’s grievances, your just excusing them and blaming it on the man again. My ex-wife did this to me all the time. Whenever I mentioned any grievance, she would always come up with a reason why it was my fault. I eventually learned to just keep quiet. As a man, I’ve come to learn that nobody cares about me and my problems. If I have issues, I’m the one who needs to “man up” and get over it. I go through life constantly feeling lik…

The ones who aren't feeling particularly motivated. That's OK. If a girl attends to her overall worth it isn't going to matter if a few less keen guys get weeded out. If by motivated you mean desperate, then you are correct. But I’m personally able to be choosy in who I date. And I’m interested in dating people who are interested in dating me as a person and not simply trying to get a free meal out of me or view me as nothing more than a thick wallet. They exist. Wow....this post proves OPs point. A low-cost first date weeds out women with superiority complexes who feel that dating men is a waste of time unless they’re spending large amounts of money on you. LTRs never work out well with these women. Bullets dodged. Spending money with women you already know (and supposedly already know don’t have this issue) is perfectly fine though.
