Don’t people like Mark Manson already kinda play this role? (Don’t know his politics, but on sex/dating he does seem to be the flip side of the coin from AT on a lot of stuff). Steve Mayeda and David Tian are others who have some good more “wholesome” advice (they’re pretty anti-RP) Again, I don’t know their politics, though, but I’m pretty sure they’d be against a lot of AT type stuff. Point is that this space is not nearly as empty as you might think. Not trying to discourage you, though.

A very important question in these situations that always seems to go unasked.

“Half correct” Which parts are those, just curious?

I found the best way to get over that feeling was to stop listening to dating advice and any and all commentary on sex/gender etc (including the non-RP ones I liked, as even the good ones held beliefs that didn’t quite sit well with me). It’s amazing how much of an influence that had on my thinking, beliefs about women, etc. Just because a few (or many) frustrated dudes have that same story doesn’t mean it has to be my story. Instead of shooting myself in the foot before I even got started, if I…

I notice this on IG reels, too. No matter how many times I say “not interested” or “do not recommend” or put in key words to take this crap off my recommendation lists, the damn algorithm keeps pushing MRA/redpill/incel trash. It’s why I don’t believe for a nanosecond the BS idea that the algorithm is perfect and is curated to your interests. 😂 YouTube is the same way. Saying you aren’t interested and to not recommend channels doesn’t do sh*t. It keeps feeding you the same garbage regardless.

Sigh People who have responded to you have given you very sound reasons as to why you may want to consider a re-think to your positions, and yet you still want to stick your fingers in your ears and pretend not to hear. All of your “counter arguments” are arguments by assertion. It’s clear you just want validation and to stay wedded to your story, you are not interested in growth. I’m honestly getting bored of people like you on this sub.

Call me crazy but I don’t think your sample size is all that large to be making these kinds of definitive statements about “women” as a whole. I fell into the same trap.

The fact that the way women think and behave in the offline world didn’t jive with what they claimed it would be. The more I got out and interacted with real world women, the more I saw that women are diverse individuals, with differing goals, thoughts and values. Not some hive mind looking to collectively screw men over like straight out of some bad sci-fi show.

Tony Robbins’ teachings are all about self improvement…is Tony Robbins red pill? (Hint: No) If Tony’s not your guy (he’s not mine btw, I just use him cause he’s the most well known) then you can substitute him for Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Napoleon Hill, etc. All are all about self improvement without the gender war bullshit.

It’s quite clear this user isn’t here to have his views challenged or to have intelligent discussion. He only wants validation for his flawed worldview. Best to not engage.

Because he IS interested in casual sex, he's just butthurt because the women who want casual sex don't necessarily want it with HIM.

Buddy, I don't think you're understanding that simply having more potential options with the opposite sex does automatically=better life in general when dealing with said opposite sex. Let's imagine a scenario: How would you feel if you had tons of women you're not attracted to try to shoot their shot with you when all you're trying to do is catch a bus or shop for groceries? What if these women only saw value in you because of your body? What if all those unattractive women felt entitled to tel…

All you really need to do is step outside every now and then and look at all the different sizes, shapes etc. who have partners. If you can’t/won’t see that, then I put it to you that you probably don’t go out much, or you don’t know very many people. No “studies”needed here, just use your damn eyes.

Without fail, they will ALWAYS find a way to inject their hatred into any topic. It could be a video of kittens eating canned food, and those clowns will find SOME way to shoehorn misogyny into it. It’s like some pathetic game for the chronically online. I used to love watching videos of old scenes from 100 years ago in cities like NYC and London, and there’s always at least one Schmuck who’s got to lead in the comments with the whole “Back when men were men” bull crap. I don’t like to say that …

I remember being at the gym some time ago and looking at this very muscular, tall, attractive woman. I’ll admit, I thought to myself “yeah, she’s only gonna go for somebody equally muscular, tall and strong.” But a few minutes later here comes her bf to join her, and he’s shorter, not particularly muscular, and average looking. He certainly isn’t the type to stand out in a crowd. Yet they were together, walking hand in hand out of the gym when their session was done. Perhaps it is just an except…

Right, it’s not that all women want muscles, six packs and six figures. Only women who look and act like models do. If these guys widened their preferences just a hair, they’d be a lot less frustrated. I’ll probably get downvoted for this, because nobody likes being told that their standards might be unrealistic. 🤷‍♂️ Further, if you’re not going to put forth the same level of self care that they do, you’re probably going to be miserable with her anyway.

Curious, what about TRP philosophy do you find to be truthful? Personally, I see value in things like working out, eating right, working on your social skills, paying attention to dress and grooming, getting out more, etc. In all honesty, though, Tony Robbins or my dad could have told me that stuff, and I don't consider either of them to be "Redpill."

It doesn't exist, and it has been thoroughly debunked (including by the originator of the term, no less), but it will continue to persist anyway because it's simple, binary, and easy to understand, and most people can't (or won't) handle concepts beyond a certain level of complexity and nuance. I'm not saying it's right, but only that it is.

"buying into biological determinism" This is the big one, the part that trips up a lot of the more "intellectually minded" RPers, because it sounds so "science-y," so it must be true.

Accepting the role of genetics and good looks does not automatically mean you stop trying to build relationships or date. It’s not some binary, all or nothing thing. Accept what you can’t control, but keep trying anyway.
