I think I understand your question. If/when she buys you out does she refinance? How can she buy you out if she doesn’t? Yes she will have to change the loan. Your VA will be good to go. Edit: Spelling

Watch your county civil case website. Mine showed up there before I was told and before I was served. It negated the need for serving as my attorney responded quickly. I’m in TX.

Mine spent the better part of a year prepping. She made copies of everything that was important, always denying what was happening. Handed me a few boxes of my stuff and it stings. But I have to give her props for sorting it all. Had to be hard for her to do. I asked for copies of all the pictures we have but to be honest I’m not sure I really wanna go through it. Maybe someday but now…nah. Do what you want with them but they were real at one time. Sucks bro. Not fun. But, they were real and you…

It’s hard. There’s no right order of words or topics. You love them and they need to know that. You’ll always be there for them too and they need to know that. Don’t be afraid of your emotions or letting them show, they need to see that too. Don’t bad mouth the ex, and make sure they know it’s not their fault and everyone is going to be ok especially you and them! You’ll know what to say even though it will rip your heart out and squeeze a piece of you to death. It is one of the hardest convos I…

We HAVE to keep the positivity going gentlemen! We are brothers in this battle to support each other! Together we will support each other and uplift one another! Thanks for this post OP! Glad to hear your silver linings and outlooks are positive! 👊

Apologies OP I read two posts back to back and wanted to reply to just you and had too much advice as I read the comment next to yours before realizing it wasn’t one post…so I deleted re-read yours because it’s what I wanted to reply to and re-posted. My divorce wasn’t like yours but if it was it’s have been so much easier. That “hot piece of ass” sounds disgustingly ugly to me. Plant the happy seeds here. This person doesn’t love you, is ugly, and you’ve already pulled one hot piece of ass. You…

Can’t for the life of me figure why I’m coming out of the woodwork to comment but brother you’re not alone! Having things ready may be what you need to cope or to have that conversation to try one more time. No idea there, but you’re not alone! Day by day. Focus on you first. It’s the only way you can be of use to anyone including you!

Most attorneys will answer some questions for free up front. Open the Google box and look for highly rated ones and prepare to open your pocket. You think you can’t but you can. They’ll most likely work with you and be able to answer all those questions. Good luck and don’t do anything without talking to them.

Understand friend. We all do our best. My love was never conditional. I can still love her and myself and respect the situation. But, I get it. Time with all things.

The thing is you can’t force someone to love or stay with you. And we all have our sins and things we could have done or not done. But yes, the beauty of it for mental health’s sake is that even though we don’t understand why, or we aren’t ready to throw in the towel, because the promise goes deeper than it does for the partner. I just signed the final decree Wednesday. I’d work on my marriage until I died trying. It’s who I am. I acknowledge there was toxicity and I don’t want that either! But …

I’m not a doctor or a therapist or a financial advisor but, I don’t know if a way to do what you’re asking without a lawyer. Start there next.

Unable to make the decision for yourself with your foot out the door but hanging on to things is totally a nice guy trait. It’s ok though. Shit loads of nice guys in this forum including me.

Perhaps you should read No More Mr. Nice Guy. A lot of things you’ve said or are concerned with are in this book. Just a thought.

My 2¢…Figure out who you really are again. You played a role in the divorce 50%. Figure out why. Be ok with it and roll on.

You know, I don’t usually comment. I’ve been a lurker and going through my own divorce. That was the most difficult thing to come to terms with. I was in love and would die for the idea. But not for reality. I’ve been in love with, and trying to make what I ideas I envisioned into reality instead of acknowledging what was really happening. The mind is a powerful organ and doesn’t like stress and stuff. I think that’s why we get messed up from this stuff. Stay active if you can. If you can’t eval…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
