| 2 | The male breadwinner is now a dying breed: First generation of men to earn less than parents. the number of men working part time in the lowest paid occupations such as basic admin and sales, has increased fourfold. However there are fewer young women working in these jobs. You're so right about the 40 hours a week concept. Currently I occasionally put in 50 plus. However I'm salary so no overtime pay. I worked a job when I was younger 60- 70 hours a week was normal. I hated life. I truly hated my life. Now as someone who delegates hours to keep production schedules and production goals, I truly try keeping my guys and gals to 40 hours. Overtime is always positioned to be a bonus instead of mandatory to just make a decent pay. Even if it means I work 12 days in a r… | /r/MensRights | 09/02/17 06:53 PM |

However there are fewer young women working in these jobs.Hey man/girl I get it. Please don't take what I'm saying as blame to you or I think it is your fault. I'm a production manager myself and I see the same issues as you. Luckily our company owners were willing to sacrifice their own dividends and pay to bring the average employees pay up. Even then it is a struggle, over regulation, insurances, comp, licences, osha, etc. Snuff profits out of business like most people couldn't believe. If the average person lost as much money to the government or s… | /r/MensRights | 09/02/17 06:38 PM |

However there are fewer young women working in these jobs.It seems like it may be a good job for a limited time to set yourself up for something more but obviously it isn't much more then that if people won't stay. Which is the original issue. The truth is, if Frito (Pepsi right?) Paid the drivers more people would stay. There are much more physically demanding jobs people stay at because the pay is better. Linemen, industrial tower climbers, contractors etc, a lot of jobs in the oil rigging industry. None if which you need a degree for. If you think t… | /r/MensRights | 09/02/17 06:19 PM |

However there are fewer young women working in these jobs.By your own math they would make 17.48 an hour that is at 55 hour work weeks for 50k.....a whole 2.48 an hour over minimum wage for working 55 hour weeks lol. That is a horrible deal. PS, I didn't say you are a liar, just that some things weren't true. Like 50k being great pay. It isn't. Especially with 50k needing 15 hours of overtime a week. | /r/MensRights | 09/02/17 05:57 PM |

However there are fewer young women working in these jobs.A very quick Google search shows that isn't true. Apparently they average around 37k to 40k at 40 hours. Apparently base is 34k. You can be expected to work overtime and extra days, thus putting you around 50k. 50k isn't much. Minimum wage is soon to be 32k a year in California and many other places. So according to Google Frito Lay drivers make just above the soon to be minimum wage in a lot if places, for a physically difficult job. Are your executives really confused why retaining employees i… | /r/MensRights | 09/02/17 04:34 PM |
