I probably sound like some old guy shouting "get off my lawn", but I swear some of the most genuine people I know are people who either a) don't have a smartphone or b) don't really care enough about a smartphone to get glued to it. Thanks for the article. I guess I'm one of those numbers, attempted around 1 year and 2 months ago. Miracle I survived, honestly. It was over a relationship - I've learned my lesson there, no woman, nobody is worth killing yourself over. Now I just need to survive my own crippling self-doubt and lack of worth and the kill-myself-because-I'm-nobody phase...

Nothing much to say besides that, that sucks! Really shows you have to a) either be careful what you post online (thank goodness nobody knows my reddit handle) or b) do it under an alias (like reddit). I'm definitely more wary of that stuff now, thanks for letting me know. Best of luck clearing up your name.

Reminds me of the city in the YA book "The Phantom Tollbooth", where the people walked around so quickly with their heads down that eventually everything around them faded away. Good advice in general.
