Yes. The spermatogonia, along the rest of the cells in the human body, diminish the integrity of the DNA sequences as they age (senescence). This does lead to more birth defects and mental problems such as the ones you mentioned. It is about 1.5 more likely for a 40 year old to have a child with autism/sch. Compared to a 25 yo. I didn't see that in high school and university. What I did see is that the absolute top and bottom of the class were men and women normally stood in the middle. This makes sense based on IQ distribution. But I did engineering and don't have personal experience with other areas.
