Purely speculating here. Would emotional thinking explain the situation? Sum all factors in, like relationship with professor, her personal status & reputation... Would it have been easier to believe that scenario?

I don't have a problem with this. What the founder demonstrates, is that they lack critical thinking and have bias, of which are terrible qualities to enable decision making. It allows us of sound mind and judgement to take our business elsewhere. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Apprently any object that can be wielded in a threatening manner could be construed as an offensive weapon. I remember a guy was charged with possession of offensive weapons on the Underground during a random stop, being scissors and steel comb. It got thrown out by magistrates when it was revealed he was a mobile barber by trade. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I don't. She made an assumption of an archaic legal term, and it's not the time this author has made inaccurate statements before either. She took it gracefully though. The fact probably destroys a narrative of the book, thus the pulping.

This may prove unpopular, however I would like to provide some historical context to the first point, that life was very disposable. Spartan women were not always positive moral supporters to their men, but had a different role in society.
