It's a bit different, you aren't force to join the military and do 2~3 years of service like in South Korea or Israel, but you (if you are male) have to sign a paper that says if the president thinks there is a national emergency you can be forced to join the armed forces.
Well this Subreddit isn't US (or what country you are from) only for a reason, You don't have to care yourself but topics like this should still be posted and discussed by those who do.
Because there won't be any rape survivors the day after you pass the law. If the punishment for rape will be death, every rapist will kill the victim so there won't be any eye witnesses to the crime. Why not kill the victim? not like the punishment will be worse for Murder + Rape.
