I'd be very interested in knowing whether there's a term in philosophy to describe an instinctual bias. Because it's pretty clear that's what gynocentrism is. It's rational in a jungle sense ("protect the womynz and the chillenz!") but it's certainly not rational when you have billions of human beings and men and boys are needlessly suffering.

In some cases perhaps. But mostly I think it's 'cause rich women's boys are being falsely accused on a now regular basis. If it were just "MRA" groups consisting solely of males complaining no one would give a shit. But Devos actually met with a group of mothers whose sons had been falsely accused.
