My idea is that young adults 18-24 only should date their same birth year. Especially women at this age you sometimes see dating a bit older guys. They could therefore be extra vulnerable to predators. But the same applies for guys dating older women of course, they could also be used. This is because 18-24 is between childhood and adulthood and therefore only should date their same birth year because to reduce gaps in maturity and life experience. And to not risk being predators or victim thems…

I certainly hope most men don't value "youth" and "beauty" For me it is creepy and predatory when older men going after younger girls. I find it disgusting that any man over 25 would be attracted to 18-24 year olds 🤢 I am 24M and if I ever go on a date or kiss, it will be with an equally old woman (24)

partly true - maybe Swedish women are a bit more outgoing especially after a few drinks. I hope women will approach more in the future, which will benefit us all. Women are going to have a much higher success rate than man and also the few men who reject the woman will probably not post stories about her being a creep online ;-)

I have no problem with immigration in general, but you can't let more people immigrate than you can integrate in a good way. VA? Förstod inte danskarna vad DU sa? 😂 borde varit tvärtom Jag kan ha svårt att förstå danska som talas snabbt, men om de talar långsamt så brukar det gå bra. Dock har jag inte haft så stora problem med att danskar inte förstår mig som svensk, kan bero på att många danskar jobbar i Sverige och speciellt i Malmö

Like, you seldom see people who succeed but more people who fail, and that can depend on the failures are more sensational and could create most views, likes, comments and so on and these interactions help to drive engagement and therefore profit to companies. you make some good points, but maybe it is too late for me? I mean, it will take time to practice as a complete beginner... I will soon be 25, even though I look younger... ... hell, last year there was even one time that I had to show my ID just to buy energy drinks (15 years legal age in Sweden) 😂

I think mostly it is in my head. But it for sure doesn't help hearing stories about guys being called out online just for a normal approach, trying to start a conversation with a girl. Also, I don't know where to start or what to say. I am absolutely clueless and would most likely start to stutter if I ever dared to make a move. It is so awkward!

perhaps it would work better in bars... at least people may be a bit more open for conversation after a few drinks I may be going to the States 2025 for vacation, perhaps I should try to flirt a bit for the first time there? well if they didn't take no for an answer you got all right to reject them in any way just to get out of the situation. That is also crazy, if a woman starts by rejecting a man in a polite and kind manner, but he still don't take no for an answer, there must be something wrong with him. That's proper bad behavior from his side.

It is easier to flirt with girls if you have good confidence and have done it before. But in order to get confidence you have to have done it before with success and so on… For example in order to get a job you need experience but if you never have had a job - how should you get the experience and land your first job? 🤔 different from dating but the same principles apply I guess 🤷‍♂️

Okej, tack för svaret! Jag förstår också norska mycket väl, både i skrift och i tal (jag kan faktiskt imitera norska rätt så bra). Är uppväxt med alltför mycket vinster för Norge i skidspåren, Northug, Björgen, Johaug och så vidare 🙄. Har också sett en hel norska tv-program: allt från Lars Monsen till Exit 😂 Funderar faktiskt att åka över till Norge (troligtvis Oslo) nästa år när vi har ledigt från universitetet. maybe more guys in Sweden would dare to ask girls out if the women were more respectful in their rejection (as you said most Hispanics are). But there is also a cultural difference, Swedish / Scandinavian men tend to be more shy and introverted than Hispanic men.

this seem to be a serious study that is also published in one of the top 3 biggest news sites in Sweden (even the socialist leaning one). It also seems to be quite accurate of what I see and hear from friends both IRL and online. but you never know for sure of course :-)

you have a lot of good observations. yes - I think that social environment and culture plays a huge role in all of this and you have witnessed it first hand. people in South America seem to love their respective native countries and that is really nice to hear. Ok thanks for info, hopefully you guys can coexist in the future. It really depends on how well the immigrants are integrated in the majority society. For example, there are (progressive) muslims in Sweden living nearly as a native Swede; have a normal job, Swedish friends and partake in our culture / society. The problem is the ones who don't adopt to the majority culture and society.

I don't know about the selection of this specific study, surely there are foreign men included (a lot of foreigners in Sweden) but they don't tend to struggle nearly as much as native Swedes. Foreign men are more forward when it comes to talking to women and simply don't care that much about the outcome. Also the fact that many foreigners marry within their "cultural circle" which is encouraged by their families.

Well, at least we now have a somewhat right-wing leaning government that is tougher on immigration than the previous. But if this coalition looses the next election, and the social-liberals win, we might be doomed again. I agree on the UK statement, crazy what that country has become, arresting everyone who doesn't follow the governments codex and you can even get arrested for posting stuff on social media.
