This has got to be a joke. You still in one marriage and you ready to jump into 2nd? Haven’t you learned anything? Her family locking her away and forcing her to marry sounds just like another forced marriage to me.

You got to fight with the same ruthless manner the opposite sex would. Sounds like you are a primary caregiver you go for full custody, alimony and child support. You guys are going your separate ways so just like you will have to figure out how to start making money so is she including paying what is required by the law. Kids are young, fight to keep them in the same home to make it easier on them.

Dude…. If the signs were any clearer…. Cut her loose and move on with your life. How TF did you go for so long without sex 🤯

I get where you are coming from about broken family. But it seems all you guys are doing is fighting and that is not healthy for your kid to be around either. You were too young, foolish and made a mistake. Got to grab your balls file for divorce and move on and chalk this up as lesson learned, hopefully .

You need to get an attorney. If you have substantial asset difference then it’s a must. They’ll also guide you in how to protect those and not commingle them once married already.

I am not sure what you are saying regarding AI. You need to expand on that. Social media for sure. Both side see unrealistic side from social media…

How old are the kids exactly? Teens could be anything from 13-19. Any kids that are over 18 are considered adults and will not be included or be part of any parenting plan. Unless you live in state like NY child support ends at 18, so only 2 out of 4 kids are potentially used for calculations. If your teens are also older 15-16, they are at an age where they can decide which parent they want to stay with… in addition please take into consideration that they divorce will take another year or 2 to…

I didn’t even read the entire paragraph when I concluded my answer and the answer is NO. Upon reading the rest of the message. My answer is still NO. Why would you give up a gorgeous generous out of the world sex for somebody that does not want to be with you?

I wish I was in your shoes. I have so many things that I want to do. you keep mentioning rebuilding your finances. Why don’t you pick up a part-time job or a side gig ?

Don’t be too quick to jump into 2nd one. Just have fun and enjoy all variety 😉

I don’t believe it’s going to change the outcome. It will be an uphill battle regardless… all you have is phone calls and text message… that in itself is not an adultery

Set up tinder… go out and have fun. I did this for a little over a year… pretty soon she won’t be on your mind. Don’t tell your mother 🤦‍♂️

Sorry man but this is your own doing, and you are really shooting yourself in the foot. Cut the communication down to child needs… why the fuck do you hang out and watch games with your ex., I don’t know anyone that keeps hanging out with their exes unless it’s for sex. Imagine you have a new girlfriend do you think she would be ok with your hanging out with your ex????

You need to get your shit together and learn to self control. I think this relationship is toast work on bettering yourself so you may be a better partner in the future.

Damn, that rough. This is what I would do if I was in your situation. Open a bank account with your name only. Find an apt or place you want to stay at for some time. The cheaper the better. Take 50% of what is in shared accounts and move to yours. Shut down any shared credit cards soon more bills can be added. Move to your new place the day your shut off/remove funds. Tell your ex, you no longer can afford the place and need to sell. If any utilities are in your name shut them off. Continue pay…

Women do not quit relationships unless they are completely checked out, and have a plan though out and now are just executing. She might be struggling but she believes she is better off, you need to drop the let’s be friends stuff. You didn’t mention kids… if you have any that’s the only thing you are discussing and needs to be handled in business like manner. If you don’t share kids together… drop all communications, block her everywhere and unfollow on social media Other than that go on tinder…

I bought my ex out of the house. Best decision I did. Because the market is not slowing down here and it made it easier for kids to come back to the same house for a while. Since then I moved in with my girl, and my house is being rented out and generating small profit while paying the mortgage off.

Adjust your tax withholding to higher to catch up for the rest of the year. Since you are not technically divorced I’m assuming you guys are going to married filling separate… or just put it into writing that this year taxes are still filling married and you guys split 50/50 any taxes owed or returned.

Why are you watching your exes dog? Why are you even talking to this woman? You are digging your own grave. 🤦‍♂️

From my experience it’s easier and straightforward. Both parties want to go get laid and neither has enough time to BS around to get it.

You are a dumbass for taking her back… Go and install cameras in your house. Call the caps and say she is trespassing and need her to leave

That what a reasonable person would conclude but as we all know family court is broken😞

And the support is till age of 21 😭. Or up to 26 for child with disabilities.

Set boundaries. If it doesn’t involve your son… tell her not to contact you. If she needs anything she can text. If she don’t listen block her

I’m in NY as well, and as someone who pays 2.3k a month in child support count your blessing that you only paying $850… trust me once you get lawyers involved and dragging thru the system she will want to get the max just for the headaches….
/r/Divorce_Men27/05/26 10:02 PM

Not necessary the parent with the residential custody always gets child support even if it’s true 50/50 in NY. And it’s 17% of each parent’s income so his cap would be about 2.5k a month plus the additional expenses. So he could potentially pay out more per month than what he is paying now.
/r/Divorce_Men27/05/26 10:00 PM
5

Careful because you will trigger child support recalculation. 17% of 180k is over 2.5k a month my friend

No she is not. Where are you getting that from 🤣. If my ex would ask me for that I would laugh in her face

Do you want more kids? If yes- it is possible to reverse vasectomies especially if it is a recent one. If no - keep looking, there definitely are people out there who do not want kids.

In NY it is until 21 unless full time working, enlists or moves out of the house

One thing for certain… ain’t no sugar daddies out there seeking washed up middle aged divorced women with kids. There is plenty of young hot 20 something out there for those. If that’s what she is after she will have her bubble burst 😂. Now if she is trying to just get laid that she will no problem whatsoever. In either case let it go and just shoot for divorce and start living your life like you supposed to

It’s only been a month… sounds like you not ready… work your shit out, you are young you’ll be out there clapping cheeks in no time.

Get the divorce in CA. The kid may not be even yours… ask for DNA test. You can deal with child support separately down the road

She needs to live in Canada for a year in order to seek divorce there… so you better jump on the train and file in your state

Having kids at this stage will only make things worse. You need to grow a backbone and not give in to her. You are the man and should be the leader. You need to sit her down and explain everything to her like you just wrote it out, and let her know if she is not open to coming to a compromise it’s better to cut it off know while both of you are still young and have no kids intermingling the affairs.

Wha is mediation going to do? If you want to force what is in your decree you need to go back to court and file a violation.

I’m sorry but you need to grow a pair and get your sister off the high horse, this is none of her business and she has no right discussing this in front of your family and let alone your kid. Can’t believe you let her disrespect you like that….and even worse have your son witness that. Time to man up

Go to divorced women forum, type in the scenario but reverse the male/female roles. The advice you get there should be what you should seek.

Let it go. Holding grudges for that long is detrimental to your well being.

I’m always baffled by this. Is that agreement in your divorce decree or just a handshake agreement between you 2?

Go out there and have fun. Plenty of women just looking for casual… sooner before you know she’ll be in your rear view mirror

She would only get half of what was accumulated during the 10 years of marriage

You got 2 kids, go ahead and snip snip. You are young, and you will bounce back… go out there and have fun. You’ll be thankful in your 40s that’s you had kids young.

I’ve been with my girl for some time, but I always pay. When we do a casual dinner she always send me her portion without me asking. On date nights she always asks how much she should send me and I always decline. She did book a 4 day trip and said it’s all on her… felt very nice being appreciated. I would bring it up in a conversation so what her thinking is…. Or just go with your gut feeling.

Your problem is that you are invested in what your ex-wife is doing. You been only married for 8 years, so 3 years post divorce and you needing another 2? You need to drop that I’ve been married for 14. After 6 months post divorce I got back out there and had more fun than my college years. 10 months later got all the fun shit out of me. Took me a year of serious dating to find my girl then 18 months later we decided to move in together

Damn sorry to hear man. 3 partners cheating on you is either crazy coincidence or more likely, something that you are doing. Besides loyalty and faithfulness women crave excitement, maybe you are too vanilla for them.

I didn’t date anyone for 6 months, then I fucked almost anything that moved 😂🤣. Almost 6 months later I had that out of my system. Then I took me a year to find my current partner. But everyone is different.

STBX is gone and you will be better off without her. I went thru the same issues, my Ex jumped back into dating right after 14 years of marriage . I was alway fit and healthy, but I went out there and pushed myself even harder. I’ll be turning 40 this year and I am in the best shape of my life. What worked best and really made me forget her was to get out and get laid, that really boost my confidence. Plenty of women out there looking for something casual, not sure if I’ll be ready to dive into …
