Thanks for sharing. My take on friends w.r.t. point 1 is that you will find out who your real ones are, and be surprised at how many aren't. But that's OK - they were never really friendships to begin with, more like "situationships". For example, a lot of my "friends" during the marriage were only there because we went to the same church, or our kids were the same age. Once that all ended, they disappeared fast.
