If they believe in everyone's rights, I can accept someone who is very subconsciously misandrist if they're open to ideas. But if someone is consciously misandrist, or if they're close-minded and dont care about new opinions, I want none o' dat shit.

I've seen men be better to each other than women. I've seen comradery and experienced comradery among guys outside my interests. Men have an innate comradery it seems. I often hear how women are bullied and shamed by other women. But that is rare among guys from my experience. And these stories come from women.

Indeed, because it was very spontaneous.

As for the edit, very sorry for the confusion. It is overall violence that people are reporting being victims of. https://www.statistikdatabasen.scb.se/sq/105244 These statistics say that women report being domestically abused, however men report violence from unknown people. It measures up to a total of 52% men reporting being victims of violence. But this is Sweden. I know the numbers in the USA.

FSW a thread discussing sexism towards men is deleted. Or did OP delete his account/post perhaps?

The fact that she had depression afterwards was because of changing her identity to some extent. That does not contribute to the discussion of equal rights. But if you understand something I don't, tell me.

As a bisexual dude I completely agree. All this identity needs to stop. However our identities can still play a part in the scene, so from here on out this is what we should do: Tell both sides of the story, always. Let's say, for my point to come across, 1 of 5 women are being abused by their husbands. How many husbands are being abused is the question we need to ask, so we say "and 2 of 5 men are being abused". Same would be if we only said "2 of 5 men are being abused by their wives". Instead…

Yeah, the issue is we are so divided. It's like an us vs them scenario we've created. It's a sad sight to behold, that we cant even find a way to unite and create a better future together.

According to the American cancer society (Don't know if it truly is reliable but it cites sources, after all I'm not American) the overall survival rate of prostate cancer is 98% and it is expected that 1 in 9 men will be sick with prostate. Meanwhile they also state that the overall survival rate of breast cancer is 90%, however if you have it for longer periods of time you will have a higher risk of dying. It is expected that 1 in 8 women will be sick with breast cancer. The difference between…

You're missing the point. Seeing a man sexually harrass or assault a woman in public spaces is very rare since men doing so get interrupted, they get told that it is wrong and someone may call the police. However, when a woman does it, it is commonly accepted, and if the woman is sexually assaulting the guy it's "not sexual assault because he must like it". If you wanna see how women are treated as victims and are cared for more than men, BBC actually had two actors play role of domestic abuser …

Nah with the education I can become a therapist or psychologist so I can help those who find themselves in a situation I'd rather not find myself in again.

Ha! Being paid to study in Sweden and I know my family can pay for my education if they wish to give that help because Sweden doesn't have absurd costs for education!

This does happen with men too, but definitely not as often. Even if it may be a gendered issue to some degree, I think it goes deeper than meets the eye.

Im telling you, my mother doesnt try to raise me properly because she thinks she is already perfect. My dad has been emotionally supportive more than she has, and sometimes I feel safe with him, sometimes not. He can get unnecessarily angry or frustrated if i have a "bad attitude" but he is definitely the better parent because he recognizes the problems I have and really tries to take care of me, even if he may not be the best. That emotional support is better than what my mother offers. Mothers…

I'm (hopefully) not saying they did. All I'm trying to say is these norms were made long ago, but some people in the 1st world use it as an excuse to ignore or bash men.

Mainly men going out in war as knights, and only men having positions of power mostly (at least thats what I've been taught in history class), meanwhile women stayed at home with children.

As in men are superior, strong and emotionless soldiers.

I'd say its both. On one hand, the patriarchy set up the standards that we are strong and without emotion and have a lot of power. On the other hand, feminism is equality and should focus on even our health. The standards and norms is made by the patriarchy. The ignorance is of radical misandry. Edit: When I say that the patriarchy set standards, I meant as in back in medieval times. This is an excuse that women use in these statements, and i do not think that is acceptable at all. The patriarch…

Left it some time ago. There was a discussion of how to stop men being killed by police the rate it happens, i mentioned i had discussed with my friends about it, and we came to a conclusion that it may not only be the rate we commit crimes in compared to women, but also how violent and dangerous we are compared to women (on average). Men are most likely prone to violence more than women (not saying its only men) because of our old instincts. Its known that our brains still haven't developed muc…

The stories I've heard from friends talking about girls are simply horror stories. Girls are cold, they freeze out friends they don't like, talk behind their backs. Men are actually a lot more supportive and accepting of, at least in my case, who I am. I'm met with a lot of compassion, empathy and love from males instead of females (I'm 16 btw, teen years). Male teenagers seem to be a lot more emotional and more straightforward, and supportive to me than women. My dad has really tried to improve…

I don't feel like wishing random Redditors happy cake days is something that should be done. Every unnecessary comment just clugs-up the comment section and wastes RAM (random accessed memory, I won't go in details because you guys won't understand). There are much more significant Redditors and you could say that to them and that would be okay. For example, my cake-day was yesterday and I received over 700 messages wishing me a happy one (I won't say the exact number because the OP might feel b…
