Yeah that's definitely been going on for years now, shoutout to the users who told me I was just "brainwashed" by older women. Yeah get this, nobody in my family wanted me dating weird old fucks. So apparently the brainwashing was a collaborative, multigenerational non-gender specific undertaking devised by people who wanted the best for me and have not steered me wrong in literally any other area of life.

As someone who has been outspoken about her discomfort with age gaps on this sub since I was like 19 the "jealousy" argument has always been particularly funny to me. If anything I was jealous of older women since virtually ever older man I ever felt any kind of admiration towaed was dating and/or happily married to a woman close to his age.

Yeah I've never related to being able to freely express my emotions simply because I'm a woman. Crying isn't like TV. It's ugly. Streaks all over your face, nose running. The expectation I always felt was to be pretty and cheerful. Granted, culture and SES likely play a role in this.
