As someone who was raised by an absent father, if he was even remotely involved in my life, I would've attended his funeral. He may have never missed a day of work and praised for his hard work ethics, but he missed almost every day with his kids. To me, it seems pretty strange to have a caring dad.

Back when I was actively dating, met a chick online, and we clicked. Talked for a couple weeks before being able to meet up. Took her out to lunch, we went on a hike, and then got coffee and kissed. Had a great time, it was awesome and whatnot. 2nd date, she's a little cold to me. I'm not sure why, but something about her was cold. End of the date and she's like 'see ya'. She then tells.me she's going on a camping trip with friends for a week, it's her birthday... that she never told me about. W…

You're not alone. I'm divorced 7 years now, was married for over 10 years. I'm in a similar boat after my divorce. I'm 41 and pretty much done with long term relationships. Also, dating is a PITA for me these days. My elderly mother is so disappointed in me, I'm still single, getting older, and have no kids... lol.

I'm not a fan of his music and his attitude and stupidity was annoying. He acted out a lot. Tough being a child star growing up with the world watching you. He is finally showing some maturity. When the lockdown started, he pretty much told his other rich and famous friends that they shouldn't be complaining because they are lucky to be in a position where they don't have to worry about losing a job, possibly a home, not having enough money to feed their family, etc. I was rather impressed by hi…

Not just the dad, but the children only get to spend time with their dad 2 days a week.

Rings true! Back in my day... (I'm 40) group dates were common, it was a way to get to know your date in public among friends without any expectations. It was fun and you got to meet more people. Bring a new person along, everyone has fun, rely on friends to gauge and give real feedback about the person. Also, cell phones when I was a teen did not exist, I knew only 2 people that had car phones, rofl! It was a far different world, had to call the house phone, ask for the girl I wanted to talk to…

Something similar, my ex-wife invited me to hang out with her friends at Disneyland (back when yearly passes were under $200 and we all had them). It was her way of getting their impressions of me. Her best friend said I was "a lot more fun than her last boyfriend". After that I was set to move forward with her. We were married for over a decade. Don't let the ending of my tale discourage the possibility of what OP may experience.

Seriously? Go!!!! Have some fun, be relaxed, be you, and enjoy a great time! Do not pass up an opportunity to be with her. Meet her friends and take it that she has trusted you enough to bring you into her circle of friends. I could make a whole lot of assumptions, but that would just be wrong. So take it for what it is, she wants you to meet her friends, impress them and you will impress her!!!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
