I always stand up when a woman is up when eating at a nicer place or a date (friends, mothers, etc). If its a date, perfect opportunity for a small kiss. You're following them to their car saying the most boring and mundane things, forcing a conversation, beating around the bush while you both know what's going on, and forcing a kiss when its definitely not a romantic place to do it, in a dark parking lot.
