Exactly. To me it says so much more about a man when he says his exes or his fwb are “crazy” or “psychotic.”

I love a scrote acquaintance that’s an open book. One told me that he has a couple of women (pickmes) on stand by that he takes out for drinks every so often and leads them on with the idea of a making them into girlfriends. I recall him saying that one woman was “obsessed” with him and he would boast about it to his friends and call her a psycho. In actual fact, he would breadcrumb her and she would leap at any chance for a “Netflix and chill.” He would then tell his friends that she randomly s…

It is so low effort to force a woman to give her number on a OLD app. She isn’t a jerk, she expressed her boundaries. Years ago when I was on OLD, a man wouldn’t stop messaging me and kept asking for my number so that we could chat on the phone, literally within two minutes of matching. Even though I was a pickme back then, I still felt very uncomfortable so I asked him to give me his number instead and said that I would call him. I never did and he got blocked 😂

I found it when it made the front page on Reddit. I decided to have a browse and I loved that this was a community of females, run by females and had the best interests of females. I devoured the posts and the hand book and realized that I always seemed to put the needs of men and others before my own. I was bought up in a patriarchal culture where I would have comments like “You need to cook so you can feed your husband” or “You can wear makeup when you get your husband’s approval.” The latter …

It was mainly men, as you can imagine. I was there with a group of people as one of the guys I was with had a girlfriend that worked behind the bar. The men in the audience were loud, some making awful comments about the woman’s bodies and men thinking I was there to work. The floor was sticky and the place was so seedy. One LVM said loudly to his friends at the next table that he was going home to have sex with his wife. I interpreted that as “I’m going to think about this stripper as I fuck my…

A LV guy I dated a while ago was so LV he told me that he was moving away for a job and had to end things with me immediately. Guess what? Scrote never moved away and there was no job! The loser came crawling back into my life when I started dating my husband and saw how happy I was. I was looking for tickets to a gig and asked my Facebook friends if anyone had a couple spare. The loser PM’d me (after liking every single one of my pictures late one night) and said that he had a couple of tickets…

The entitlement of these men baffles me. They think it’s their God given right to jerk off to pictures of their female friends, and that grosses me out. I do believe that the majority of men do this, sadly. I’ve stopped posting photos of myself to social media; it’s mainly pictures of my pets or places I’ve visited. It used to put me off seeing the same male friends liking all my pictures and then revealing they liked me more than a friend. The older I’ve gotten the more I realise that it’s not …

I had a pickme friend a few years ago. I was actually really fond of her and she did have some nice qualities. She met a guy and they got serious. I met him for the first time when the three of us had dinner, and after that I didn’t hear from her for a while. I reached out a few times to see if she’s okay. I can’t believe that she’s putting this shitty advice out there! I used to fall for this crap and dated some complete uggos. I remember getting peer pressured into dating a guy that I was not attracted to and it was truly awful. He was overweight, jealous and was just gross in general. I agree. There are two particular single women in my life that live their best lives. They visit interesting places, have great hobbies and focus on self care. I believe that both will live to one hundred! It made me realise that I am a person, not a couple. I have a bit of a former pickme friend, who made me notice something about some women in relationships. When she got with her ex husband it seemed as if all his likes and interests became hers.

We are bought up to believe that our sole purpose is to serve men. I’m not sure about anyone else on this thread, but when I was a young girl, all the females were in the kitchen, cleaning and allowing the men to eat first. We had these messages ingrained in us from a young age. I remember one time, I got sick of seeing the boys in my family outside playing and I resented being in the kitchen washing dishes with my Aunt. I snuck outside to play, and my uncle asked me what I was doing outside and…

One of my first job interviews out of my post grad program was for a large financial institution. One scrote I knew at the time kept asking me too many questions about this job, and started giving me unsolicited career advice. This guy had never worked in finance and knew nothing about the area I was being interviewed for. As a side-note, he was both bald and had long greasy hair tied back in a ponytail and, as he thought, was God’s gift to women.

No to doctors. I dated one and he would say some WEIRD shit, such as his ex wife having four abortions on our first date. I don’t know why I agreed to a second date 😂 A good friend of mine dated a doctor and he would regularly lose his temper. Putting the wants and needs of a man before my own. I was surrounded by pickmes in my family that were all about cooking, cleaning and doing everything for a man to their detriment. They accepted the bare minimum in return and I absorbed that. This led me on a lifetime of doing things I didn’t want to do. Some examples include going to sports games, sitting in a packed bar that was 98% all male for dates, being made to give men that I had “friend zoned” a chance of love with me, cooking, cleanin…

I’ve been to a couple of speed dating events to meet someone before. My friend really wanted to give it a try so four of us single ladies went along. The event was pitched at ages 25-35 and most of the men were at the upper end. There was literally one decent guy there. He had a cool upbringing and was raised on mainland Europe, had interesting hobbies, had a good education and had a great job. I knew a guy that was a “self-taught pin-up photographer.” He would get girls to model for him in the hopes that he could photograph girls for a popular alt porn website (the one with the “female” founder, if you get my drift). The thing is that his photos had bad lighting and weren’t flattering to the subjects. He would try to sleep with the girls he photographed. It was awful. He kept trying to convince me to do it. Even as a naive pickme, I knew better than to let a creep photograph me nude.

Agreed. I see this at work a lot. I am so lucky to work with some inspirational and phenomenal women. I also work with some brilliant men that have been great mentors to me and have taught me so much in my profession… however, something I pick up on is the praise heaped on some men for doing the bare minimum. Never women. One of them is so unbelievably lazy and got a shout out in a recent team meeting for doing something that all of us do all the time and we had to give him a round of applause. …

I work with a gross LVM that has a particular favorite porn star they’ve dropped into conversation a couple of times. I chose to look them up on Reddit and was shocked with what they were inserting in their asshole. Yup, so true. I forget how many times I’ve waited around for a guy to text or call. It didn’t help when my pickme friends would come up with excuses for them and encourage me to continue wasting my time. “I think he has fallen hard for you and is scared of his feelings,” is what a friend told me after a guy I was dating would text me once a week. That guy was a HUGE scrote. His brothers were scrotes as well. Some of the stuff they would say and do to women was appalling. One of the brothers would enjoy going to bars with his friends and taking a girl home. However, once he would do the deed he would get the girl in a cab with him back to the bar to “get her back with her friends” and would then ignore her and hit on other women. Him and his friends would laugh about it and tell me that the girl deserved it for being a slut.

I remember getting together with a guy, and one of my male friends at the time was like “I have tattoos like him. What’s wrong with dating me?” The guy I got together with was moving to Australia so it was doomed from the start. The male “friend” bided his time and consoled me when Oz guy left. I did end up dating this “friend” because he wore me down. I was 20 and he was 30. He had no job, a beer belly and would walk around naked all the time. In my experience, all exes get in contact with you after some time. The thrill for me is blocking and deleting. Learned that it was an absolute must the hard way. Yes, they always choose their LVM and often you don’t hear from them for months when they’re with them. Then their LVM breaks up with them they come back into your life like nothing happened. They literally prioritise their LVM and his life ahead of their friends, hobbies and interests. I had one pickme friend that would disappear and returned to my life after being dumped by LVM. It was very cringey when I think back to it. He kept talking about how some woman that attended his weekend retreat received a text message from a guy she liked and he crafted a response back to him and she got a date. He also claimed that he would reveal what to do if a man is ignoring you and what to say on a date. Pickmes all around, including myself, had bought a notebook and pen to take down notes. In hindsight, it’s very sad that he profits from the toxic things he tells women.

I found this post really interesting to read. I’m curious to know, can men ever truly just be friends with a woman? I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts. I used to have many male friends (I was the epitome of the cool girl, pick me), but I noticed that they all vanished from the scene when I got together with my SO. Funnily enough getting with my SO did not impact my female friendships.

He apologised and said that in his experience men always know the answers to the questions he was going to ask. I knew the answer to what he wanted to know and told him that he shouldn’t assume that as a female I know nothing. I made him quite rightfully feel bad. Edited: Typo

Having some work done in my house. The contractor asks if my husband is home to ask him something about wiring. I asked why they couldn’t just ask me considering I hired them. I hate how tradesmen do this. Not cool. Another scrote I encountered this week was my Uber driver. “Are you single? Are you looking for a husband?” Fuck off.

To attend any university in the UK you need to meet minimal English requirements, which would also indicate that he wasn’t attending Oxford. I was using this to illustrate my point that he was bullshitting about his credentials. I’m also of the same ethnicity as this man and English is not my first language. However, what is not cool is using the term “third world country.” https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2021/01/08/954820328/memo-to-people-of-earth-third-world-is-an-offensive-term

Her father died a long time ago, so it was just her mother. Her mother was taunted by relatives about having a divorced daughter and so felt the need to have her daughter married again. They were all bowled over by the fact that he was supposedly at Oxford (including the daughter), and the wedding was planned after a couple of days of meeting before the whisper network could comprehend what was happening. The guy also lied about having other women interested in him, which made the family feel as…

I know a number of desi girls that have married losers from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. I once attended the wedding of a friend of the family. She had been married to a guy from Pakistan and after having a kid together got a divorce from him. To be honest, this guy was actually okay but she realized that they had nothing in common and he wanted them to all live with his mother in a village in Pakistan. She then meets husband number 2. Husband number 2 claimed he was studying at Oxford Univer…

I get asked this question a lot and, for a couple of reasons, I find it quite hurtful and insensitive. I have two friends that I have started to see a lot less because they bring it up every time we meet up despite knowing why I haven’t yet. When I was 24, I recall a male coworker telling me that I had to have kids soon because fertility decreases after 25. Honestly, why do people think it’s okay to make these comments? Not cool.
