Bullshit advice. It's all circumstantial and depends on the OP's life.

This just puts life in perspective and well done for getting out of the situation unscathed.

Agreed. A life with passive income or wealth would give him time to solve his problems very quickly. Think about this, the average worker, spends 7am to 7pm going/at work. That's twelve hours of extra improvement than the average guy, if you have passive income.

Hopefully this shit subsides. I can't shake the feeling of weakness for something as minor as coffee to have such a negative effect on my body.
/r/askTRP21/08/15 11:19 PM

Is it normal for coffee to have that great of an effect on your body? I feel like that makes me weak.
/r/askTRP21/08/15 11:15 PM

You're right. The stress would have nowhere to go, and simply elevate into physical symptoms. I need to begin running. I don't smoke, or drink. Just coffee.

What if you're young and always on the move. Six months, one year etc and can't carry fifty books with you? I'd love to keep them on a book shelf.

So what you're saying is: given the right circumstances she will most likely cheat; AWALT? but if she by magic avoids bars, NAWALT? Let's put it this way, a guy shows up in a white Ferrari, or even BMW. Handsome. Shows her a good time, has a five minute chat and gets her number. She then cheats. AWALT? But if you get lucky and she doesn't meet this high SMV dude then NAWALT? Basically AWALT..

The world has only moved to the information age in the last fifteen years. We have the world at our finger tips. It has never been easier to get rich in a western country. More disposable income, less startup costs, and more information.

Honestly I try to be honest with my motives and just discuss things of interest, compliment people on their achievements quite often, and tell them to keep going. So this hidden ulterior motive thing is new to me. My only thought is, each generation has it better, better looking women, more knowledge, more material possessions and more comfort. Our fathers would kill to be in our shoes, and they sometimes probably wish they were. Most people associate being big, with being a bully or automatical…

It's funny you mentioned the father example. I started weight lifting at university and got pretty big two years ago, then stopped and the gains stagnated. I began again this year and I started to show some quick gains, asked him what he thought, he said yes you're not as big as three years ago with an ulterior psychological negativity in his body language. I simply responded with 'this is just the beginning'. He never throws a compliment my way with anything I do. Then again his father died whe…

I'm fond of dressing well, however fancy dress in the workplace is not my thing. I can see my perception was slightly skewed. Thanks for the advice.
/r/askTRP18/08/15 11:28 PM

Interesting. I should have been more clear. The fancy dress bullshit in the workplace is simply removing your power away from you and turning you into a bitch, it's not what men do. You don't have to agree, it is simply my view.

The workplace has been feminised. If you don't agree, then you're obviously deluded.

The workplace been feminised even the graduate programs where you have to act like you like each other within five minutes. I want to do the work, leave, and work on myself and my social circle outside of work.

I think what's important for this guy to understand is: The rule of self-interest applies to the majority of relationships. So it's not just you. People are friends with people because of similar interests, entertainment or for what you can do for them, and vice versa.

Thanks for taking your time to write this up. I will say one thing for driving and one thing in general in relation to this topic. Driving for me at least on motorways, removes control away as anything can happen and leaves death as a strong possibility. One wrong move, or one sudden jerk driving on the motorway at 70 miles per hour, can and most likely will kill you. I don't know if you can call this irrational. I can drive on normal roads without hesitation or anxiety. You are judged as lower …

Your situation sounds much much more different, though you can quantify it as similar to mine but in a different manner. I was technically given no help from my parents, they were not only hyper critical but they were abusive in a secretive way. I was ill during my childhood which made people treat me different, health and power correspond with each other. I hate my father, and there is nothing in this world he can do to change my view. I was left to fend for myself 95 percent of the time, emoti…

I would contemplate that he categorised psychological thought patterns of power as 'laws' because if said laws are used accordingly, you can tangibly quantify the results of power. In regards to scientific laws I guess your argument holds true to a large extent, but I am adamant of the view that nothing is absolute in an unknown world.

A prince is born a prince. Those with ability can also become a prince later in life. Once the fruits of your labour start to ripe' and you can visibly and tangibly see your charisma and net worth increase, you have more self-belief in the universal principle of 'progression and law of attraction'. Then, more time without the negativity of your peers doubting your every move means you can extend your ability to reach new heights of success, and net worth. Princes are born and Princes are made. It's not that I despise isolation but more so that my social abilities deplete when isolation gets too much. Most people aren't aware of the whole progress notion and they are not introspective to understand how the world actually works, so whether or not they have social issues or anxiety issues or money issues, they don't understand the notion that anything can be improved with persistence. Maybe not right away, but two years or five years from now. Have you ever heard this statement said in a…

It happens because I know that corporations are there to give you a living wage and it is likely I will fall into the trap of the rat race. I perceived myself as a Prince in my own right, as Machiavelli would say.

Totally understood. I'm honestly fine with game and picking up women. I have situational confidence, rather than complete confidence. This basically means, I am fine when I am in control of my reality but when I have to interview for a position in a corporation, my power is taken away from me and I become a feeble little boy with anxiety. I can pick up most women if I'm in a good mood. Approach anxiety was destroyed at university. I dress well, handsome, and have a law degree, not the best GPA b…

I totally understand your notion of your intangible work bearing fruit much later on in your life. After having read fifty books in the past year on business, banking, psychology, health, philosophy and history, my whole mental thought pattern has changed. The disadvantages with spending so much time in isolation, include too much thinking and depression. I look good, I have game, I have nice fitting clothes and I am confident everywhere but my hometown. I grew up very poor. My dad would never t…

How did you find the transition? Did you move with your family, girlfriend or your own? I really, really need to get out of here. Quality of life is lacking in the united kingdom. Would you recommend Canada or the United States?

Thanks for taking the time to respond guys. My heart lies in technology and banking. I am pursuing a masters in International Banking and Finance this coming year. I think my best bet is to network my way into an analyst role in London, network with high profile individuals whilst working in a FTSE 100 corporation and get shipped off to New York to work for a subsidiary or main headquarters as a favour.

San Fran, seems to be ideal. The issue with the UK isn't the job market or making it per se. Making it on a large scale means you have to be international, full stop. The reason people move to the United States, is generally because it has many of the positives of Europe but also dictates where the world moves. Everyone is ambitious, people lose money, end up broke, bounce back, and make ten million the next year. The heart of entrepreneurialism. A lot of naysayers here (UK). We will win in the …

Nice clothes, game and confidence. Check, Check, Check. Law degree. Check. Nice flat? Do you mean purchased or rented? Nice Car. Could buy now but would rather wait until my current venture turns into a passive stream of income. The best life, is a life where you do not have to be in a set location at a set time, or can change these dates at your will. Basically, wealth.

I had a vauxhall corsa, but they come across as rather chavvy. I don't really care if I am honest, so I am just going to buy the same car again. Very, very cheap insurance. Thanks for the good advice, I had a moment of irrationality. It gets to me sometimes. After having lost £8.5k in a previous online venture and some stock trading, I really got annoyed, knowing I could have bought a very nice car. Though I learned a lot through the failure, IT still annoys me.
/r/askTRP07/08/15 11:47 PM

Yep, totally agreed. I had a moment of irrationality. I don't even know why. I had invested £8.5k in a project last year and as you are aware entrepreneurship is very risky. It didn't pan out, and it annoys me to lose that much money, though the failure taught me so much, it's not materialistic and can't be seen and it annoys me sometimes. I will just go with my prior car, a vauxhall corsa, although not ideal. I need a car and it's the same price as my old one.

You sound way too emotional and responsive. It was my intention to come across as patronising to test you. In response to your comment on success; I am a law graduate and I simply was admitted into university by following the normal path as a result of european immigrant parents and 'luck', I discovered entrepreneurship and books whilst at university. You sound like you're doing well, and have a resilience which I rarely encounter, you were dropping Xanax and you're back on your feet quicker tha…

All the best. Sounds like you have found the key ingredients for success through all that turmoil. Time and persistence now. How did you get your own apartment and furnish it, are you working? or did your parents help you out? What degree do you have? The simplest way is, make the conversation so awesome that she wants your number. This equals investment and comfort. People want to feel safe, especially women. It is your role on tinder to figure out what type of girl she is, what she's into then simply 'find a thread of common discussion, and play in and out, keep testing the conversation. Once you figure out the person, you can have fun with the conversation. Most people have basic brains and do not know anything about discussions, conversat…

You have really put this into perspective for me. Having dealt with the accident in a stoic manner at the time, I can now ride comfortably knowing that I could possibly deal with much worse in the future. The problem with most guys is that they need to really assess the social situation, the vibe, the timing, the nature of the girl. You hear this quite often but it's not so much what you say rather it's how you say it. Have you set the comfort level, have you set your personality as the aloof guy who says shit to make her wild, has she accepted this reality? You can tell she's accepted the reality by all these components, her playing along, laughing. Every girl I say this to, I look at them and g…

One hundred percent doubting myself and my ability to do anything. I'm assuming it will take me a couple of weeks to return to the norm. My car has been written off. I keep observing my body, my movements, eyes, to see any inconsistency or problems that could have occurred without my knowledge as a result of adrenaline and shock. Thanks for the answer by the way, any reinforcement helps my mind regain composure.
