She's sitting on it because she a) doesn't like it, b) wants something better, or c) is somehow benefitting from not moving forward. Any idea what that could be?

Unless infidelity is a factor in divorce in your state / county, move on. Speculation: She might have a burner phone that she uses to communicate with a London boyfriend(s). Advice: Ask her to go to family therapy for the kids and see what happens. Maybe you end up going, or not. Document it, it may become relevant later. Start interviewing attys now. Start using the state calculators for alimony and child support to see where you stand on that front - no need to pay an atty to tell you what you…

Or worse: She wants to collect a sample of your dna in order to make false claims and get you out of the house, or locked up, or both. You need to change the routine until you're formally separated. Do not allow yourself to be in that situation again. Also: Mom is setting herself up to be queen / primary parent. Sounds like the kids know D is in process? Ask them to come greet you in the AM. No reason why you need to enter mom's space to see the kids. Start showing them what it looks like to hav…

Focus on yourself. Ignore others. Trust your gut. Generalizing what anyone else wants, needs, or does is a fool's game. As a mid-50s guy, I've had remarkable success on the apps meeting quality women, who seem equally frustrated by the challenge to meet quality men. Ignore low effort profiles. If you don't want to meet someone in a bar, then don't go to a bar. Agree 110% re: focus on yourself and your kids. Forget your ex. Good luck.

You're headed toward a high conflict divorce. Strongly suggest that you read "Splitting" by Bill Eddy, which might shed some light on how your wife behaves, and how to interact with her going forward. Also suggest that you call the most expensive family law attorneys in your area before she does. Even if you don't end up using them, it might help limit her options if they've already spoken with you. Ask for an interview to see if there's a fit for your situation (usually free for :30 mins or so)…

I did once or twice. Now I don't, unless we've moved beyond the first few dates and interest level is up... in which case, some mutual disclosure is fine.

This is great news. Her attention will be on tingles while you're bringing your A game to the D proceedings. As others said, ignore her. You're getting divorced. You're both going to see other people. News at 11. When my X started dating, while we were still cohab'ing, I sort of wanted to buy that guy a beer. He was doing me a huge favor...

Interview multiple attys. You're interviewing to see if there's a fit, not asking for a free consultation - there's a difference. When interviewing, the first 30-60 mins are usually free. When asking for an initial consultation, some will try to charge. Talk to a few of the most expensive attys in your area ASAP - that will prevent her from hiring them, even if you don't use them. Would you say that she's abducted the kids? Ask an atty. Do you have a documented history of participating in parent…

14yr marriage here. My X felt entitled to cheat because she resented me - because she was miserable with her own choices. Like you, I was in it for the long haul, even though I was also unhappy. Now I'm here to tell you that Teeko Two Point Zero is going to appreciate a fresh start and another shot at happiness. I didn't even know it was possible, but things are so much better on the other side. Don't look back. Whether you're solo and at peace, or running wild - either way it's better than bein…

Take a close look at this with your atty.

In my state, an automatic financial restraining order is activated as soon as you file, and it takes effect for the other spouse once they are served. As others suggested, talk to an atty. In the meantime, tread carefully.

where do I subscribe to your newsletter? also, if by chance you're in MA, who was your atty?

Providing, although terms are TBD and one prospective atty thinks that once the calcs are done, it might be child support or alimony, not both.
