I've definitely had men and women looking at my junk/butt in the gym before. And guess what? I just get on with my day because folks can't always help what catches their eye and if someone thinks I look great then that's a compliment and it really boosts me up

I mean, on the one hand yes. It's absolutely degrading to women. Pandering to every whim of the worst of the twisted basement dwelling male gaze. Trying to be the best sex object they can be so that gross men will toss them some spare change... it's degrading. But on the other hand, and I absolutely do not have any empirical evidence to back this up, but... it seems apparent that if the people who are millionares because they film themselves masturbating, the VAST majority of them seem to be wom…

What a stupid post. My iq didn't go up when I stopped being a feminist. Intelligent people are convinced of erroneous propositions and ideologies ALL THE TIME. Just look at religious debate; there are super smart theologians and very intelligent atheist philosophers.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. It's something I've been working through for a while. And I feel like I've just put my finger on it today. If we're privileged for not experiencing "women's problem n". Then women are privileged for not experiencing "men's problem n". I'd LOVE to have a discussion on it with a feminist who is gonna engage honestly and not just name call and do what we're used to them doing. Because, this is just something I came up with today, it could be a load of bs. If I'm wrong I…

My friend, I want to change that too. I don't want to make more women billionaires, I don't want there to BE ANY billionaires. I want equal representation in power for women. But I'm more concerned about having working class people in positions of power. If the women we put in power are the same capitalist cronies we're used to, just with a different set if genitals then I don't really care all that much. For example, in America (although I'm not american) I'd vote for Bernie over Clinton any da…

I've been wondering this for a while. Feminist rhetoric about men seems to be built on pointing at the top 0.1% of men and saying "look, this is Men™️! Look how privileged Men™️ are!". It's absurd. At my place of work, the men arrive at 7-7:30 am and do the manual labour jobs. Most are older men with many chronic injuries and conditions from a life time of doing this work. Then at 9-9:30am the women arrive and go sit in their cozy warm in the winter and cold in the summer offices where they sit …

This is perfect. It so clearly shows the double standard. It's like they're trying to make us second class citizens or something. It's so strange. Feminists: Feminism is GREAT for men Also feminists: We're allowed to body shame men for things they can't control and are already incredibly insecure about and if you dare call us out on it then you're "part of the problem". I have concerns about the possible motives at play here and ideological commitments. Is it just another men's lib "toe the feminist line or else" sort of mens support group?

I think I agree with you tbh. I acknowledge the problems faced by both sexes. They matter, and we should help as best we can. But no matter how much feminists say that this is a feminist attitude, I can't be a feminist because of how much they down play the problems men face and privileged female victims over male victims as more important or more in need of support. So I'm sort of without a label. Because MRA has terrible optics doesn't it? It's become almost like a slur. They've ruined the ter…

Yeah I've seen a lot of that man. It sucks. But we know we don't hate women. It's just a knee jerk reaction to anything that goes against their ideology. You see it a lot with ideologies. Christians tell atheists that they must "just want to sin" instead of actually listening to why they don't believe. Leftists tell right wingers that they just hate poor people, righties tell lefties that they want to deepthroat the government etc... It's a tale as old as time. I'd rather not be part of any of t…

Maybe to start with. But I find it best to steelman an opponent position. If you go into a debate assuming your opponent only holds a position for nefarious reasons, and it turns out they don't, then you're going to be ill prepared for that Co conversation. It's more likely that, like most people, male feminists think that what they're doing will bring about the most good in the world. All you need to do to make them question their feminism is to show them that it is not congruent with that goal…

I dunno about that man, most are just trying to be on the right side of history, they think they're doing good. This guy is definitely over reaching though. Tbh, I know most feminists hate this sort of thing. There's a male mod of a certain feminist sub who does similar things as this, to female feminists. And they always call him out on feminists subs outside of his reach. And he considers himself a feminist

Doesn't even sound like he supports tate or his views. Sounds like he's saying that if we don't want men to turn to those views, then we should be kinder to men. Isn't that what feminists pretend feminism says about men anyway?

Not to me it doesn't. Sex is fun, why would you want your partner to have lived in lonely boredom until they met you? I don't get why guys think it matters so much tbh. They say women with higher body count have higher rates of infidelity, but if you look at the stats, it's so minor and wealth status is WAY more influential on infidelity than body count. But you don't hear guys talking about that. I think any reason they give for why it matters is just post hoc cope. They're insecure, they're in…

I've really been trying my hardest to explain to them why it's body shaming. It's so simply, it's just "small dick=bad/big dick= good". Check my comment history if you want to see how that's going...

I've felt the same man. I'm as working class as they come, I don't tolerate misogyny from my male peers or anything like that, and my ex wife raped me ffs... but apparently I'm still an oppressive abuser who just ROLLS around in lavish privilege and I mUsT never have known fear of violence.... It's honestly ridiculous what mainstream feminists think it's like being a man

I don't think you are understanding the argument that's been put forward here because your comment does not address it. If your response to concerns about capitalism capitalising on a mental health issue that we might not currently understand fully is to just shout "TRANSPHOBE" and to belittle the person who made the argument... you aren't engaging with the argument. You're just throwing turds.

Similarly to how the bleeding edge of tolerance only started to give a fuck about shaming men's dick size once they realised trans men have little dicks and that ridiculing small dicks is "transphobic"... it seems now, all this insufferable isolation is only of concern because female people are starting to experience it as transmen... They can't afford to listen to us because it shatters their ideological commitments to this holistic idea of male privilege. But they're also ideologically committ…

I don't think you understand. Incentivising "keeping it to yourself" unless you know as a laymen, and a recent rape victim, that you have water tight evidence sufficient for a conviction, will likely keep more actual rapists out of prisons.
/r/MensRights23/12/22 03:46 PM

The problem is... how do you know the difference between a false allegation and a "not innocent" not guilty verdict? Sometimes there's just not enough evidence to prosecute? By my lights, someone should only face charges for false accusation if the case for such charges passes in court. For example if a rape case results in a not guilty verdict, that does not mean they have been proven innocent. It means they have not been proven guilty. Imagine the trauma of getting raped, going to the police, …

Yes absolutely. It's definitely been used in an adhominem way a whole lot. It's very rarely "oh the weight of this toxic masculinity must be so difficult to work though, how can we help" its always "ew, toxic masculinity". In a way that would NEVER be tolerated if said about internalised misogyny. As someone else said bellow, madness internalised misandry would be better. But I do like "toxic gender expectations".

That's absolutely perfect dude. That's exactly what it is. Women get "internalised misogyny" instead of "toxic femininity". Let's get some of that energy for ourselves.

Thanks for sharing this. I really felt like I was on my own here because when I've voiced concerns I've always been told "tough" or that I must be toxic if I've got a problem with it. I MUCH prefer "toxic gender norms/expectations". It has way better optics and is genderless so it's inclusive which will hopefully lead to better conversations

Yeah the wording is shitty. But there's some sort of case to be made here. I know what you mean about not wanting to be aroused. If I'm at work I shouldn't have to deal with sex characteristics being paraded around like we're at a night club. Those clothes are designed like that and worn like that for a reason. But there's definitely a sliding scale, and it's so arbitrary to point at any one particular point on that scale and say "this is the point where its obscene/an inappropriate display of s…

I work on building sites, and I think there should be equal pay for men and women even in physical labour jobs. We're not paid per unit of work done, we're paid for our time spent labouring. If the 5'5 135lbs 60 year old guy next to me is getting the same pay I am even though he can't lift and move the things I can, then a woman should he getting paid the same as me too.

Nope, her family is rich af, I earn a little more than she does but she point blank insists on going half's on everything we do/buy outside of gifting which is also very balanced and mutual. I mean, I get calling out the double standard. I don't personally gaf about body count, I need an emotional connection myself so I've only been with five women, most in relationships. But my fiancèe has been with over a hundred guys because she suffers with mental health issues and had a really bad time when she was 18-20. And I couldn't care less, she had loads of sex, so did I. So they've made feminism look juvenile and myopic? Wonderful. On that part about men not knowing what it's like to not be believed... try being a man trying to be taken seriously as a victim of sexual assault by a woman... we know exactly what it's like.

It taught me that a significant amount of women have a minimum expectations of men that puts men who qualify in the top 0.0001% of men based off of height and dick size alone. Then I met the one and realised that those women are gonna die alone or lower their standards. Either way they're shallow pos who you wouldn't want in your life even if you had what they were looking for. Imagine getting serious with a woman like that and knowing that if you were 5'11 or had an average sized dick then she …
