I mean, oppression is defined as "the state of being subject to unjust treatment or control". I'd say things like winning less than 20% of custody cases on the account of your gender or being legally obligated to pay child support after the woman who statutory rapes you gets pregnant (Hermesmann v. It's definitely not the main reason but it's certainly a contributing factor. I'm fairly sure that there is a correlation between suppressing one's emotions and depression, or at least the worsening of that depression. Again, not saying it's the sole or even main cause of the higher suicide rates. Well the scenario given is that someone accused you, but has no evidence that you're guilty, and you have no evidence that you're innocent.
