2	Thinking about getting a vasectomy. Who has experience and can give feedback? I had one over 20 years ago. No problems at all. No pain i took a few days off work. I was never tested to see if I was actually sterile, but its supposed to be immediate after surgery. The Dr. said not to have sex for a couple of weeks, and I highly recommend following that advice. I had no cost, I was in the service at the time - so I have no information on pricing. Supposedly the procedure is reversible, but I don't know how successful they are. 5	Attaching a price tag on "love and support" I agree with all the OP wrote. Living alone (as I am, too), you must come to terms with the fact that you may die alone. You may fall down stairs, slip in the bath, etc. As I get older, I will need to get a device, some sort of necklace or even a wrist watch to call for help if I do fall.
