| 1 | Interesting thread on r/Teachers about boys falling behind in school. The reward center of the brain, especially for boys, is inundated with feel-good feedback from video games. You will find this predominantly in boys. Some families I work with allow their kids to be on electronics 10+ hrs/day. It’s like an addict. These kids are then unable to work towards long term payoffs, preferring immediate rewards. I have a daughter in medical school and was shocked at how many of her classmates are not American. They grew up in homes with different family structures. | /r/MensRights | 15/01/24 08:58 PM |
