im pretty sure that since its a privately owned business its none of the states business who, or how they choose to hire people. edit: wooh downvotes, in the end they can discriminate all they want, as long as they don't say it out loud. what good would he be able to do in that office anyway if the boss already didnt like him?

its just not true, and you know it, people care more about money than about gender. and if you want to go down that street then how about the fact that men have to pay more for auto insurance? also a funny story, my mom have been moaning about how tough it was for her to get to where shes at in her career, however her boss just got retired, and her now boss, is a young woman in her early 30ies, and my mom is now well into her 40ies.

you're right, i'd argue that being involuntarily imprisoned for x amount of months/years DESPITE being innocent is WORSE than being raped.
