Come on, 90 Day Fiance is a riot. I love how Big Ed and Lisa, who are both horrible people, can so perfectly describe the fatal flaws in each other while completely failing to develop any insight whatsoever about themselves. My husband got me into it.

They obsess over bad food. I took a bite of a chicken sandwich about a month ago, and there was this absolutely revolting glob of spongy fat in it. It was strange looking and almost makes me think it was a tumor. I thought about making myself puke up the bit of it I'd already swallowed, but that was a no go since it would mean having that truly disgusting thing in my mouth a second time. I feel sick telling you about it right now, and I haven't eaten chicken in a month. I'm not sure when I'll be…

If I'm looking for a recipe and I see that it has 2 reviews, both 5 stars, I'm still not going to trust that recipe as much as I'd trust one with an average of 4.5 stars after 3 thousand reviews. The more people like something, the more reliably you can assume it's good - in theory. Often, it doesn't work out that way, but I think we humans just naturally feel like that's how things work. So if you don't have a high amount of internally generated self-esteem, you will likely wish for many people…

Sure. My husband's autistic. There are some unpleasant aspects of it (though those aspects bother him more than me), but there are also good parts. I generally get along very well with people on the spectrum and often like them more than your average neurotypical person. Technically I'm not neurotypical either according to today's definition - I have ADHD - but when I think neurodivergent, I think autistic since it was originally used by an autistic person to describe autistic people.

People who are willing to give up their egos don't have egos to give up in the first place. You've got to be hollowed out and empty before you're weak enough to fully submit to another human being.

I've known a lot more women who admitted to being bi, but I've also encountered more bi guys than one would expect based on the statistics. I usually learn they're bi only after mentioning I dated a bi man for a while and making it clear that I don't care about that kind of thing. The ones I've known mostly don't tell anyone who they aren't sure will be okay with it.

The government is the enforcer of contracts. All contracts involve the government the moment one person attempts to dissolve or subvert them. A contract would be no more useful than toenail clippings if the promise of enforcement-by-government were not an inherent feature of its very creation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
