I agree with you, but let me play devil's advocate; the majority of people who need to ask questions like 'if she does x then should I think y?' or equivalent are asking because they're inexperienced. If that's not practical, it's summer - invite a few guys over for a BBQ. If it's a sport that has events like the World Cup or big televised fights, suggest a game night at your place. All of my buddies come from my college course and my Judo club.
