How did you tell your kids about your divorce?12 years strikes again! | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/24 01:29 AM
Been 2 years….It’s not about women for me. It’s about my kids. It’s about not saying goodnight every night, tucking them in every night, missing milestones and holidays, and hearing how their day went. It’s about losing my purpose. I just keep pushing forward hoping that a day comes where I finally feel something resembling who I was a year ago. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/24 10:46 PM
How do I get through to herShit, my STBXW said she felt “trapped” after the first child, despite having two others with me later, and now says I’ve been narcissistic and selfish the whole time. Fuck. That. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/10/24 12:08 AM
A connection can become inappropriately intimate, even when it isn’t sexualMy STBXW had at LEAST one of these, likely more. But she’d never admit to them being “affairs,” despite talking to these guys at all hours when I was gone or when she was at work… Phone records don’t lie. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/10/24 05:41 PM
Not a man but….You say seven years married both times, but you just got married two years ago… I appreciate that you see the injustice of the divorce system, but how have you been married twice for seven years at the age of 30? | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/24 10:31 PM

Man this shit sucksMan, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I’m sure you’re probably already aware of this, but there had to have been another man. Not only should you focus on the fact that there has been another man, but more importantly, remind yourself every day that the person that’s meant for you won’t leave you like that. My ex left me and blames it on me, and I’ll take some of the blame, but the way she left me in the manner in which she did, far outweighs any damage or hurt I could’ve caused her. I f… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/10/24 09:44 PM
Not afraid to admit itDon’t visit. You’re making this worse on yourself. She’s not your friend anymore. She’s not your wife anymore. And FFS, don’t sit on her bed. She’s not yours anymore. Stop doing this to yourself. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/24 10:15 PM

Wife No Longer In Love Me, Wants OutUghhhhhh I hate to say this, but she was most certainly, very likely, unfaithful during her trip home. Stand up for yourself. Tell her you want the divorce, too, and start therapy and radical acceptance. I was in a similar boat as you, and I could’ve sworn that she wasn’t unfaithful either, but I found out she was. And I have a feeling you will too. Move on either way. Do you need to start figuring out how your life looks moving forward. Get a lawyer. Get a therapist. Dive into work. Make yourse… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/24 04:05 PM

Here to Help: Free Gym Advice for Divorcing MenDo an Upper/Lower and then PPL setup. That is, on your weeks off, on Monday, do an Upper Body workout. Tuesday, Lower Body workout. Wednesday do a Push workout, Thursday, a Pull, and Friday a Legs. Then on Sunday, before you get the kids, do one mean full body workout. It’s a lot of volume, but you’ll recover well in your week off. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/24 01:19 PM
Here to Help: Free Gym Advice for Divorcing MenHip thrusts, Romanian deadlifts, and cable pull throughs. I think Squats help, too. But they’re not as effective as those top three IMHO. But Squats are great, if you can handle them. They’re (glutes) are primarily “Type 2” muscle fibers, so they respond to heavier weights and lower reps better. Look at a sprinter, as opposed to runners. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/24 01:14 PM
Dating dry spellI’m only 5’7”, but there are so many things you can do to measure up better. Gym, gym, gym, and then dress well and even consider a stylist for your hair, beard, etc. I’m definitely “damaged goods” by any metric. I’m almost fully divorced, but still separated, in forced retirement, and live in a small 900 sq ft apartment. Still managed to have success on the apps. I’m happy to offer free gym advice. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/24 12:38 PM

Wife service me divorce papers after 11 years of marriage and 2 small children...Light weights slowly? No. Go with weights you can only lift 8-12 times and keep lifting them until you get more than 12 and go up in weight. And then walk on an incline. But yes, gym. And time. And reflection. Focus on the bad times. For now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/09/24 02:34 AM
