After checking your post history, it looks like you have a severe reddit problem and/or are a troll. Because of this, I'll be blocking. Thanks.

Friend, if you cared about the consequences you could actually affect, you wouldn't have voted third-party. Jill Stein was not a serious candidate. So you threw away your vote in order to feel smug towards the rest of us who live in the real world and understood the consequences. Congrats, I suppose. Palestine is going to be absolutely nuked by the Trump administration, as are the many immigrants who are trying to live peacefully in our own country.

Voting third-party in the two-party American political system means you're either naive, staggeringly dumb, or uncaring about the consequences of your choice. I'd respect a Trump voter over someone too apathetic to care or too self-righteous to pick between the only legitimate options.

Everyone in my circle is livid at conservative people of all genders and evangelical Christians as a whole. Not to mention apathetic non-voters and third-party people who "voted their conscience." The women I know do probably feel less safe around men right now, but it should feel obvious why. We woke up to "women are property" spray painted near our property. Like, let's have some critical thinking as a treat. It's not a punishment. It's the natural consequence to violent misogyny going uncheck…

I don't really think prioritizing other things means you're hiding from women at all. I didn't date much when I was younger and still found the person I wanted to be with forever once relationships started sounding good to me. Introverts are great, but we sometimes do take our time on finding the people we want to be with—either as friends or relationships. Nothing's wrong with you! I wouldn't take too much stock in internet comments if they start making you feel bad.

I do think you are definitely right that there are plenty of guys who could be good romantic options but don't necessarily feel comfortable approaching girls or feel like it's a priority at whatever moment. I know introverts and quiet people also have a hard time with those traditional dating norms for sure.

I have no idea. It would probably depend on where you were pulling a sample of women from—what country, how old, what sexuality, their experiences, whether they know who he is. It would also depend on the context of what he was doing and what his attitude was. You seem incredibly focused on trying to trap me into reaffirming some type of worldview, when my only argument is that different people like different things.

As I said, "there is no one man women all want." Who is the "they"? There is no giant group of people who want the same thing. I can't answer the question because it's a bad faith question. "They" don't have one specific taste in people.

I mean, as I said, "there is no one man women all want." You're not guaranteed someone just because you have your shit together. You should have your shit together because you're an adult. The measure to which your shit is together could be negotiated depending on what kind of life you want and the people you like being around.

People like people who have their shit together, yes. Honestly, the way you describe men in the first paragraph, who are more interested in self-development, also applies to women. Lots of men in this sub throw tantrums about not being able to find a girlfriend should realize that men are not the only ones feeling okay in their world of "philosophical growth," and many women are choosing to eschew relationships for their own contentment. That isn't gendered. You seem oddly focused on defining pe…

Totally agree! Every feminist space I've been a part of—working, volunteering etc. has always been pretty thoughtful about being inclusive and holding space for everyone, men included. In my opinion, what seems to be especially triggering for men about feminism is that men aren't always the most important priority, and we try to make time for different and non-dominating perspectives. That doesn't mean we don't hear them or care, but some men (yes, in particular white American men) feel used to …

I think you have completely misunderstood why some women have a negative attitude toward men, which tracks perfectly with this attitude in general. Because you're unaware of historical context, you seem to assume feminism was borne from nothing—just some whiny women deciding to hate men—when in fact it is a response to society's focus on men. So what you're proposing here is just a shittier, revenge-focused version of feminism for men. Which is silly for a couple reasons, most obviously because …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
