I’ve deleted all social media, besides Reddit, because I just don’t want to be exposed to my old life

The fucked thing, is that she didn’t have to throw this life away so suddenly. I would have been willing to participate in whatever this lesbian phase is until it was out of her system. As long as I was somewhat involved. It just seems like she could have communicated more instead of a sudden ejection out of our marriage.

I would not be surprised if in 2,3,4 or 6 months there’s another dude in the picture

I’m sorry to hear that man, just make sure you’re in shape and understand at least how the French language works. But if you pass their selection you will get a whole new life and see a lot of Africa. Which mostly sucks by the way.

I have, I met her twice and she’s a mess. 21, depressed, and is supposedly sick. I honestly think she’s just getting validation from her emotionally and enjoys being the “mature one”

Yep, it’s going to be hard when/if she comes back to say no but how could I not? She’s blown up my entire life. She’s honestly a smart girl. She will figure it out on her own.

Absolutely, I am so glad I don’t have children. And I cannot imagine that being a part of the equation. Good luck brother I hope it gets better with time!

Thanks for the advice man. I’m going to try going to veterans counseling and luckily I have a career that pays me well now. I’ll definitely take your advice. I need to stop treating my friends/family as therapists. This was just a huge shock and the affair news to signed divorce was 5 days. Otherwise I’m just trying to be social and move forward a day at a time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
