5 years is better than 10-15 or 20 years. It sucks, it’s going to suck. In some ways it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better. If you feel like a failure. Write down all the things that were good about the marriage, then all the bad, reflect on what you need to own and learn from. I bet somewhere in there you’ll find your answers and ways to better yourself. From your other posts sounds like you were violently discarded. IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, you couldn’t have stopped it. This is my life. Mom has to be do something and that means the kids have to be something too. We’re on a 7-7 and some weekends we literally don’t leave the house or couch. I second this. Lawyer up, lock down the finances. DO NOT leave the house unless you speak to the lawyer about it. Personally. I had to cut all communication unless it involved our kids. I would bet that she has the emotional capacity of a toddler and discarded you because she’s needs control. Distance will be your best friend. See her as she is, not what you have in your head.
