Awesome to see the Escapist guys pulling apart the arguments of Anita Sarkeesian. That was probably it. But there was utterly no discussion of the other comments not outright supporting her, he basically framed it like the only negative attention she was getting was purely trolling. I didn't expect Sterling to do a grand analysis of her methods, essays, etc, but I definitely expected more of his even-handedness and displeasure at dishonesty than he displayed in the video. | /r/MensRights | 08/01/14 04:05 PM
Awesome to see the Escapist guys pulling apart the arguments of Anita Sarkeesian. Not so much SJW-level, but still loads of apologetics for Anita, with no mention about important stuff like how disengenuous she was, her poor conceptual framing, and more. | /r/MensRights | 08/01/14 07:58 AM
Awesome to see the Escapist guys pulling apart the arguments of Anita Sarkeesian.Wait, really? Given the inclinations of the likes of Jim Sterling and Bob Chipman, I assumed she'd be given a free pass and so skipped the video. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/14 09:25 PM
"due to being the more expendable gender" and that's it for SourceFed with me (0:30)Hence why I said in the evolution/biology sense. Once a man can get a woman pregnant, that's his evolutionary function sufficiently fulfilled, and he's not strictly needed any more. In the infrastructural, social and societal senses, however? Of course men aren't expendable. Don't jump to conclusions just because you read a word you don't like. I never said men were totally expendable. | /r/MensRights | 29/10/13 07:17 AM
"due to being the more expendable gender" and that's it for SourceFed with me (0:30)But in terms of evolution and biology, that's true. They're basically talking about evolutionary psychology in that video. | /r/MensRights | 29/10/13 01:56 AM
Men's Rights are important, but please don't let it take over your life.I concur completely. Aside from leading you down a path of disappointment, frustration and/or downright rage, defining yourself almost solely based on MR stuff just makes you a very boring and shallow person. Fair enough that you seek to right the injustices visited upon men and boys by society, laws, etc. However, it's sad to see in the same way where there are "Oppression Olympics" who've constructed their entire identity around the idea of being non-cis, or some other non-typical sexual/gende… | /r/MensRights | 25/11/12 12:44 AM
