8	UK: Domestic abuse charity loses £5M in funding because it is not gender-neutral: Brighton council chiefs said an equality assessment found more support was needed for straight, gay and trans men — and Rise is mostly a women-only service. It's the government's job to review services and ensure that what they're being funded for remains fit for purpose. If they're reviewed and the council find they're pumping huge amounts into a service that refuses to serve 50% of the population, when other services may support 100%, they're going to redirect funds towards that charity instead to provide better services in the community.
