Got super drunk one year at my birthday as my friends kept buying me drinks. Ended up puking in the washroom (made it to the toilet so no mess). Bouncer tells me I have to leave. I say okay, that's fair. Pack my stuff and leave. My logic is: if they kick you out, they obviously don't want your business, so no need to start shit and go spend your money somewhere else.

Consistency is everything. People say they need motivation, but consistency will trump motivation any day of the week. Motivation gets you started, but consistency keeps you going. I’m at the point now where I have my gym bag in my car and head straight to the gym after work. I don’t even have to think about it at this point. It’s as natural as getting up for work. If I stop home for even a second, I know I’m not going to the gym. Be consistent.

Hey man. I used to be 105lbs before I started working out, now I’m 155lbs after working out and putting in serious effort to workout. I have to consciously make an effort to eat otherwise I’ll drop the weight quick. I lost 5lbs over Christmas break since I wasn’t eating my regular meals. The struggle works both ways.

People report losing a ton of weight just by giving up soda and drinking water instead. Losing weight is all diet. Exercise supplements the weight loss, but you can't outrun a bad diet.

I've worn the same suit to the past 3 weddings I've been to. I don't think anyone has ever noticed. I'd be flattered if anyone actually thought about me enough to care that I wore the same suit all three times. I ain't rich enough to buy a different suit each time.

Feeling ostracized and actually being singled out is different. My program had workshops and programs designed to bring more women in. Not that I personally know, but there are more than likely scholarships that exist to bring more women into STEM as well. As far as I know, all my female classmates got jobs after graduating, while only some of the males got them (oil crash fucked over a lot of students).

Huh? Why would you factor eating into cooking time? That's like saying carrying your lunch to work adds time to cook your meal. It does take me 2 hours to make lunch and dinner for the week because I'm efficient with it. Slow cooking isn't even real cooking, it's all prep. If you're smart about it and have decent knife skills, it shouldn't take you longer than an hour to hour and a half to cut up some vegetables and meat into a slow cooker.
/r/PussyPassDenied16/01/17 04:55 AM

It's why I do my cooking for the week. I use a slow cooker to make dinner for the week and whip up something random for lunch. Could be sandwiches, kraft dinner + costco chicken, oven roast chick + salad. It takes me about 2 hours to make lunch and dinner for the week. Although I'm a single guy, so I can imagine it's a lot harder to do if you have to cook for an entire family.

The way I see it, single income families are a thing of the past. Almost everyone is expected to work and support themselves to a degree. If I can cook and clean, my girlfriend should be able to cook and clean. Cooking isn't hard, just time consuming. Anyone with half a brain can follow a recipe.

I never claimed it was easy. It's hard because eating habits can be ingrained into us by our parents, friends, siblings, etc. My point was that it isn't as reliant on genetics as people make it out to be. Outside of a serious medical condition, there's almost no reason someone can't lose/gain weight. It's hard work, but it's the logic behind dieting is fairly simple.
/r/PussyPassDenied15/12/16 05:43 PM
2

Lol no it isn't. You aren't above the laws of thermodynamics. Losing weight/gaining weight is simple, not easy. Eat more than you burn off, then you gain weight. Eat less than you burn, and you lose weight. I used to weigh 110. I put on about 20lbs in a year after I really tracked my calories to put on weight for the gym. Measured my food down to the gram. I sit at about 140-145lbs right now.
/r/PussyPassDenied15/12/16 04:48 PM
3

Well I mean outside of some medical condition, there's no reason why you can't gain weight. People who say they can't gain weight simply don't eat enough. If you can eat a whole pizza and not gain weight, eat two pizzas. Still can't gain? Three pizzas. People who say they can't gain weight aren't special, you just aren't eating enough. I used to think the same, then I tracked my calories and basically doubled what I was eating to put on weight for the gym.

Yes, but their value should not, and definitely isn't, determined by their gender. If you work for a company and you think you're worth more, then you ask for a higher pay. It's up to the employer to determine if you are worth that much.
/r/MensRights31/10/15 10:36 AM
2

Well that wasn't the point either when it came down to it. She got paid less than Renner and she is arguably a bigger draw than him (seeing as this was about the time the second Hunger Games was finished and she played a big role in X-Men: First class). It was simply because she or her agent did not negotiate properly. It was stupid that some of these feminists believe it was simply the man keeping Lawrence down.
/r/MensRights31/10/15 10:33 AM
1

If you feel you're underpaid at work, then you negotiate for better pay. Whether you're worth it or not is up to the employer. If she feels she was underpaid, then she (or her agent) should have negotiated better. How she feels has everything to do with it. Whether she was worth the extra pay is debatable (I'd say she was since she was a massive star at this point).
/r/MensRights14/10/15 06:12 AM
2

Doubt it. She had an impressive resume at that point. Hunger Games essentially made her into an overnight star. X-Men: First Class is also on her resume, and that movie made a lot of money. The only stars, IMO, that would be more valued than her at that point were Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper, but not Jeremy Renner.
/r/MensRights13/10/15 07:56 PM
2

Are you bringing in, potentially, hundreds of millions of dollars for your company? If not, then of course you wouldn't understand. They don't just spoil random actors and actresses. Lawrence one of the biggest female stars in Hollywood, she should get paid what she believes she is worth, which in this case, she felt she didn't negotiate properly and was underpaid - relative to her male peers.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. If this guy is happy playing his guitar for some side money because he's set for life, is that a bad thing? Maybe he just wants a simple life. If I won the lottery and didn't have to work for the rest of my life, I would just hit the gym, go travelling once in a while, pick up some random hobby, make some safe investments, and relax for the rest of my life. Some people would invest the money in a business and try to make more money. That's also up…

That's a flawed argument you're presenting though. Terms can change with time, especially form their origin. No one would still consider the definition of rape to be "take someone against their own will". That's kidnapping. I seriously doubt the girl in the video was shouting rape meant she was being kidnapped.

GetMotivated is a terrible subreddit. She's being forced to have sex with him or risk being tortured/killed. If a rapist has a gun and threatens to blow your head off unless you stop resisting, what are you going to do? You're not resisting, but you're definitely being forced.

She is clearly being raped dude. She even complains about it to Theon. Just because she can't say no, doesn't mean she isn't being forced to have sex with him. It's either get raped by him or be tortured.

I recall watching this video a while back. The girl hit him first while they were inside a home (looked to be a party), people were telling her that she had to leave. She starts trashing the property and taunts the shit out of the guy who she hit, then she gets laid out as shown in the video. It was a pretty well deserved shot, whether is cowardly or not is something else to be debated.

I mean, your statement is true, but not entirely. If you're a rich/handsome dude or an attractive girl, then you've got a huge advantage over everyone else, but this doesn't mean you're going to do better than someone else with legitimate game. I've got a very attractive guy friend who doesn't have to put much effort into making out with girls, but the guy doesn't have much game himself, so he can never close or take a girl home because he doesn't know how to transition. He almost got close to a…

I usually say height doesn't matter because there's nothing you can do about it. You can't change what you were born with, so do your best to improve what you already have. You can sit there and whine about being 5'5, or you can do something about it. At least you're making more of an effort than the other 5'5 guy who's sitting there bitching about his height.

Find 5 of your closest guy friends. Take them to the bar, point out the hottest girl at the club and see how many of them have the balls to approach and talk to her. OP did really well, most guys can't approach at all.

Salsa classes. You probably won't bust out a lot of salsa moves, but the basics will absolutely help you with girls. I took a few beginner salsa classes and used it at the club. Blew the girl away. It also helps because the classes are like 3:1 girls to guy, so girls are basically waiting for a partner to dance. Hip Hop if you want to just groove and attract attention, but salsa really seals the deal in terms of partner dance.

Yup, but people like to go "but he's rich and famous!" You think he magically became rich and famous? He probably busted his fucking ass off getting rejected thousands of times before he landed his first big role. Watch the video of Tom Cruise putting a prankster, who sprays water in Tom's face, in his place. Tom knows how to remain in control and put someone in his place without coming off as a huge asshole. I realized it's becoming more and more true. You mention pickup and people go crazy. You have to use more PC terms like "dating advice" and "self improvement" and "be attractive" because that's what pick up advice boils down to: Become more socially savvy. Lift and dress better. Focus on yourself first. Stop giving a fuck about what other people think.

That's what I always thought too. I always assumed it was illegal to ask that question (I'm not entirely sure though), in which case, the female speaker is correct in voicing her opinion like that. If it were not illegal, then I could see why a company would ask that question. I would be quite upset if a company asked me a question deemed illegal that could cost me a job.

Article aside. I always thought the definition of a Barber Shop was implied that it was men only. Isn't this how it was traditionally? I don't see the issue with the hate on the owner. It's his business and he should be allowed to run it how he sees fit. We live in a world where if the owner doesn't want to take someone's business, then it is right, just as much as it is the customer to choose not to spend their money for the services.

Dance club for sure. I taught myself dance after I finished University and regret it so much that I never decided to learn it when I was younger and still in school. I could have expanded my social circle and met tons of new people, as well as build up some confidence when going out to bars/clubs. People who are in college right now but are just being lazy and scraping by... don't waste it. Join a club, meet new people, study hard, and have fun with it.

This is the number one thing everyone should know before they step foot into a gym. No one gives a shit about you unless you're doing something ridiculously stupid to stand out. Think people give a shit that you're fat or skinny at the gym? Not really. They are more concerned about their workout than they are you. Check your ego at the door and enjoy your gainzzz.

Definitely trades. 2 of my buddies became electricians a few years back and they started at around $19 an hour. They have to do 2 months of schooling every year for 4 years, where they get a huge pay raise after each year completed. They get to collect unemployment insurance during the 2 months since they are not technically working, their work pays for the course, AND they get $1000 after completing each year from the government. Dancing is an amazing tool. It can be your greatest asset in a club if you're not the most physically attractive guy. I'm a decent dancer. Taught myself hip hop, so I'm a better dancer than 99% of the guys at the club. I'm not one to draw attention to myself so I don't go crazy, but I do have good rhythm and groove. True, but make sure you pick the right dance style. Hip Hop is generally more men, while salsa/ballroom is more women. I took a beginner's level salsa class and there it was at least a 4:1 ratio. Girl's had to wait there turn to dance with a guy. Plus using a few salsa moves always on a girl always makes you more attractive, even the most basic ones.

Have to agree. I remember I was at the gym one time late at night (which is my regular routine) and there are maybe 6 people including myself. This girl that was there asked me how to use a particular machine despite other people being around her that would have been able to do it. I also noticed that she was standing closer to me than I was normally used when conversing with people. I went to a graffiti party for my friend's birthday at a club one year and it was a pretty eye opening experience. The way it works (if you don't know) is the club gives you a white shirt and a few colored markers. You then go around and draw on people who are also wearing white shirts. It was one of my favorite experiences at a club because I could open tons of people without feeling any AA. The crutch of having a simple marker made all the difference. It gave me a reason to approach girls. App…

I agree with you. This guy isn't even remotely good looking. He's tall, but totally out of shape. His hair is a mess and doesn't look good, but you can tell he's confident as hell. I'm sure he hits on 100 different girls a day until one hooks, but that's his strategy and it works for him. It's a strategy many people use.

This is pretty impressive. This guy isn't good looking, has no money, his voice is really effeminate, and yet he's still able to pull. I guess it goes to show that if you don't have anything else going for you, Game is what you'll have to master to get girls.

I switched to body weight fitness recently and am loving the results. I feel stronger and I've already gotten a few compliments from friends/other gym goers about how I've gotten bigger (I don't notice the difference tbh). But most importantly, I enjoy doing it more than I did weight training. It keeps me motivated going to the gym and that's pretty fucking good.

It's the one thing I hate about Reddit in general. People will always post, "you're so brave for doing X or Y" when they don't even know the person. There was an AMA from a fucking rapist possibly a year or two ago, and there were people in the thread commenting about how "brave" he was for posting his story. Like, what the fuck? I learned how to manage my money through video games, so I had that going for me, but a lot of people can't control their spending. I used to work retail for an extremely large clothing company. The dude is the epitome of success. Ramsay came from a broken home where his father was an alcoholic and left his family at a young age. First time I saw Ramsay on Hell's Kitchen I thought that he was a huge dick, but you can't argue that dude had total control of his kitchen, although I didn't really agree with his methods. Then I watched some of his other shows (Kitchen Nightmares, Masterchef, etc) and realized that dude was just playing that personality on Hell's Kitchen. If you watch his other shows, he genuinely cares about other people and wants them to succeed. He makes them better, and he STILL doesn't tolerate bullshit. …

This is the one thing video games taught me (oh god all that wasted time spent on my youth. Money management. Never spend more than you have. I once took a trip when I had no money left in my bank and put the entire thing on my credit card. It was a dumb mistake and it took me forever to pay off. NEVER EVER lend anyone money. If you do decide to lend it, don't expect it back. If someone asks you to borrow money, just simply tell them, "I don't lend out money to anyone anymore. I've had bad exper…

I've always wondered why people come on TRP if they can't stand it. I can't stand f7u12, so I don't go on there. It's simple. It's like people come here to read posts that somehow offends their ego and then goes around bitching about it in other subreddits. Ain't nobody got time for that.

The part of me that isn't so bitter after discovering TRP can't help but feel bad for some of these women. I suppose I'm still trying to hold on to my nice guy attitude, but these women are raised to think that men will like them for exactly who they are despite their flaws, and no one tells these women that it is not true. They see some celebrities in their 30s and 40s who still look stunning and think it to be the norm; that men will be throwing themselves at them when they are older and no lo…

I don't understand how someone can look at another man who is more successful than himself and try to bring him down. Whenever I see someone who is more physically fit, more confident, someone who dresses better, gets more girls ,etc. I strive to be that person, to emulate their good traits and discard the bad. It makes no sense how someone can look at a guy who is getting girls and think, "that guy must be a jerk with no brain and can only manipulate stupid girls into sleeping with him."

I once thought I would fall in love and marry a girl. This idea was sold to me by movies that getting married to a woman was the end all be all of your life. Marry a woman, grow old, have kids, have a house, etc, but as I grew older and more confident I realized that the way I've perceived women and my interactions towards women were all wrong. I hate how most people are quick to assign "beta" and "alpha" to everything. It's like people are making up their own definitions of alpha these days just to make themselves feel better. Cop was professional and and defusing a potential situation with onlookers. That doesn't make him beta.

Have you ever asked a woman for dating advice? I have because I thought, "Hey, you're a girl, you should know how other girls think, teach me." Then they give such general and mainstream advice that it becomes useless. "Be confident. Be yourself. Buy her flowers." I agree. It would take a far superior woman in terms of fighting skill to beat man. I remember when I used to box, there was an amateur male fighter (not sure how long he'd been boxing) and he was sparring against a female champion boxer. He was crushing her. Just so much faster and stronger. It was kind of hard to watch.

Girls actually believe they are equal to men in terms of physical strength? I can't imagine who would believe something like this. I even recall watching a video about Ronda Rousey (professional fighter in the UFC) and she's talking about a transgender fighter and how it would be unfair for anyone to face them because they have the physical advantage of being a man. I'd love to hear someone's reasoning behind this in real life.

I prefer "be the best version of yourself". Although I agree be yourself is generally good advice, girls normally give that from their perspective because they see the traits in you that make you a good FRIEND, but not a good boyfriend. They'll tell you to be nice to the girl, give her gifts, flowers, dinner, movie, etc. Not many girls are going to tell you to be dominant, lead the interaction, touch, escalate, etc.

I remember asking my attractive female friend for dating advice one time and what girls like. She told me to "be yourself" and just "be confident". The fuck kind of advice is that? Since my account already feels invested into the community, I'd love to have people follow my progress and have a online community secretly supporting me, and me supporting others as well.

This, exactly this. I'm a decent dancer, practice and train at a specific style, but I'm way too shy to use it in the public since I'm afraid of the attention. The one time I did use it at a club a girl came up and danced with me, but I didn't know what to do or how to escalate. I kinda just wandered off because I got nervous.

Just watched this movie for the first time as per recommendation in this post. Wow, it is amazing how good the movie is. I can really see the self-improvement part of movie and relate it to my own life. So motivating.

Things I did before: Play WoW Play Heroes of Newerth Sit on Computer all day Things I do now: Workout (lifting) Dancing Meditation Learning about fashion Things I tried: Boxing Improv Salsa Things I want to try: Yoga Learn French or Japanese Skydiving Self-improvement has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. These hobbies have made me more interesting, fun, and confident. I'm still no where close to where I want to be in terms of my social life, but damnit I'll make it happen!

25 year old virgin here, I could probably answer this. A lot of guys grow up with the idea that sex with lots of women = awesome, so if you aren't doing this, then you're a loser. Guys are pretty much told this once they realize sex exists. I know I sure felt this way, which only added to my anxiety once I realized I couldn't attract a women to save my life. As you grow older and still have no success with women, this ingrained mindset slowly eats away at your confidence. So yes, many of us woul…

Ok, I have to ask. I also dance too, I'm not amazing, been at it for almost a year and a half, but better than most average people. I'm still terrified to dance in the club because I fear attention, how did you get over it?

Oh trust me, if I can learn how to dance, almost anyone can. I couldn't even 2 step to the beat before, hell I didn't even know a beat existed in most music.

Seems like everyone else is working out to improve their looks. I'm doing this as well and think it's great. Things I'm doing related to seduction: Also trying to get the balls to approach Unrelated things: My main focus right now is teaching myself to dance, although I'm still really shy about using it at clubs/bars/public settings despite my dramatic improvement. Used it once in public and had a girl approach me to dance, had no idea how to dance with a girl (took a few salsa classes, but neve…

Fuck man, I just subscribed to this subreddit and all the FRs I've read have been from you. You're motivating me to get over my laziness and get started.

Hey Neil, do you really believe it's possible for anyone to learn social skills? I'm 25 and have never been with a girl and can barely hold a conversation with most people. It feels pretty hopeless. Edit: I want to say your book has made a big impact on my life, but I haven't really taken any action due to my own crippling fear. I still loved reading it, but I just feel it would never work for me.

Nah I don't have that kind of money to pay for bootcamps. I'd much rather learn it on my own, but the point I'm getting at is if it really is possible for anyone to become socially competent with women?

Is this really fucking possible? I want to get out there and get rid of my social awkwardness around women, but fuck, stuff like this just seems so out of my realm. I can't even begin to imagine me being anywhere near this smooth or even imagining making out with a girl. Is seduction really possible for any person out there? I'm not good looking, rich, or tall, so how can I turn seduction into a reality?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
