Honestly I have the inverse reaction when I see people with nice new cars etc. They may be making okay money, but they probably aren't saving or investing much of it. I could travel for free if I wanted because I build up a lot of points with work travel, but with all the work travel the last thing I want to do on my time off is travel somewhere. I have noticed that people that make okay money but are bad with finances and make poor investments often drive nice new vehicles, and people that save and have a respectable net worth often drive older but well maintained vehicles. 1	Career This is really true. Trades pay pretty well starting out and have lower education requirements than a lot of other professions, but they often take a toll on your body. A lot of trades are a 'young man's' job, but not well suited for when you are older and have lots of aches and pains and health issues. Sadly it's going to be a LONG time before TV technology catches up with the motion resolution of plasma TVs. I'm still hanging on to my plasma and I dread the day it dies. I care more about crisp action sequences free of motion blur than I do about 4k.
