But the captain is the person responsible for qualifying his officers to take responsibility as the officer of the deck in his absence. Keep in mind, we're talking about warships here. This is the reason the captain is the senior man on board, and the reason all responsibility lies with him. 100% of the time the buck stops with the old man. It's his job, his only job to train his crew to execute the mission, by whatever means necessary. It is absolutely the fault of the skipper for putting someo…

Super constructive. Anyway, I certainly paraphrased the first half of the conversation incompletely. She was actually mad. Now, yes absolutely. I mean, obviously. That's sort of the point of the post. Counter offer to me being a pussy, is it possible that I get laid enough for my liking, and I don't need to chase tail every second of every day.?

Do you spend a lot of time trying to picture how other people masturbate?

I appreciate the advice. and that's very close to what my gut is telling me. I just can't shake the feeling that I'm going to miss out on the best deal I'm ever going to get. But, I suppose if making tough choices were easy we'd be in a very different world.

I also find it unappealing. And I was as certain as I could be that I'd never do it again. My issues are this. There is no such thing as an LTR. We know that. And this chick probably isn't going to wait 3 years+ for me. Do I pass up the millionaire 8/10 on principal?

I agree it's not a good sign. I guess I'm just looking for some perspective. I'm military, so I move a lot, and the vast majority of my peer group are full on beta bux. So I don't have anyone local to discuss this with. Any of those guys tell me I'm not dumb for diving head first, damn the consequences. But again, too good to be true probably is. I just can't see it. Either it's not there or I'm in a Forrest for the trees situation.

I don't want anyone to decide anything for me. I'm asking advice by people more experienced. I have lived a very strange and full life, I've seen a lot. But there are plenty of people who have seen more. I'm just doing some public pondering out loud.

Well, monogamy doesn't seem to be a huge issue. Both of us being in shitty marriages has lead us to both being upfront with sexual desires. I dont think either of us want an 'open' marriage but we both seem fairly into the 'swinging on vacation' life style.

Well, I assume I wouldn't stand to gain. She owns a business that does very well, and she seems to be quite shrewd when it comes to finances. I have no doubt there would be a pre-nup. So, while I wouldn't stand to gain if it goes South, it seems there is no way I can lose.

Well, I'll have to just assume you have a lot more experience in this than me. All I can say is in more than a decade of Military service I've never once seen a person ostracized for blowing the whistle on anything. -- keep in mind that's only on people who have done so publicly, which is not necessary or even normative. Let alone the people who do it in 100% confidentiality.

This is incorrect. I have a drawer full of Sexual Assault Prevention Training material in the drawer right next to me as I type this. I've been in the military quite some time now, and I can honestly say if there is any man afraid to report it's because of something personal. Not on the command's side of the house. I can only speak for my branch. But I just have to toss the bullshit flag on men being afiraid to report in today's Miltary. For starters there are 100% confidential reporting methods…

I've been to the American south. Most places I went it wasn't okay to be white, either.
