Any remnants we still have of strong communities are the vestigial fruits of religion, more specifically Christianity if you’re in a Western nation. Science is a method for obtaining knowledge about the material world, and it is entirely detached from any notion of what is good or beneficial for people. What you’re describing is Scientism, which cannot provide any compelling reason that strong communities are even desirable, aside from subjective desires.

It doesn’t fit the “narrative” of material reality or human biology, regardless of how many papers they write.

Pretty sure I’m banned from that sub for commenting in a “passportbro” sub. It’s definitely not a place that actually cares about men or their wellbeing. I disagree with the predatory comment, but I do agree that he is coming off as desperate and that he has a dis-ordered mindset about dating, and really about life in general. If his only goal in life is to lose his virginity then he needs to change his mindset; and he most likely really is coming off as very unappealing to women with that minds…

I watch Malcolm and Simone pretty regularly. They are pro-natalists primarily, but they’re a good resource in general for balanced takes on a lot of controversial topics.

Well I certainly don’t support conscription, which seems to be the only argument you’re making here. It’s not about “enjoying the religious lifestyle”, it’s about recognizing that identity exists as an ontological reality, rather than solely as a social construction. Men and women fundamentally ARE different. Not because society artificially applies different standards to them, but because “feminine” and “masculine” exist as two distinct ontological categories. If you remain a materialist then n…

It’s wild to me how ignorant that last statement is. You think traditionalists today are like characters from Mad Men or something? Our entire focus is on support networks; genuine, perineal support networks based around family, community, and God. The degenerate modernists reject these support networks, typically for two reasons; they require boundaries and a will to improve, and they require belief in a reality higher than materialism. A bunch of guys getting together to talk about politics an…

If you don’t have children and you aren’t the clear leader of the household then she is not a tradwife, or anything close to that. It’s pretty wild to conflate what you’re describing with any kind of traditional relationship dynamic.

I’m finally at a point where hearing those comments, jokes, or stories doesn’t make me have a panic attack.

There is no political solution to spiritual illness. The Orthodox Church is the hospital, which is why young American men are flocking there in droves.

If you mean in that shallow, pandering way then I’m not aware of anything like that. That stuff is just cringe propaganda. If you mean something that genuinely hypes and inspires you to greatness then yeah, there’s tons of stuff like that.

Well, there are all sorts of industrial food-products that screw people’s hormones in all manner of ways; plus all the pesticides and such. The mental and physical effects of our agriculture and food systems are more profound than many realize. What I was specifically referring to is a cultural issue though. American women tend to have a more masculine mindset and a far more combative disposition than other women. For a few generations now they’ve been taught that masculinity is the standard of …

*American women Some other Western nations as well, but in general the difference between American women and non-American women is DRASTIC.

I’m not OP and I don’t blame feminists. I do recognize that feminists are to blame for why men’s issues in general are not able to be discussed meaningfully today. Try to discuss an issue men face outside of this sub and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

It’s not done in the US for religious reasons, except by some Jews. John Harvey Kellogg is the man who launched a nationwide campaign to normalize the practice here, and his explicit goal was to traumatize the penis and have sexual pleasure inherently associated with pain. He was a demented man, and he also invented corn flakes because he wanted to create a food that would dull people’s libido. He started off using it as a punishment for boys who were caught masterbating. Eventually he convinced…

John Harvey Kellogg is the real villain here. He basically went on a crusade against sexuality and pushed to normalize this practice in the US. He was a sick guy, and his motivations were twisted. He also invented corn flakes with the explicit goal of creating a food that would dull people’s sexual desire. It has never been a “Christian” practice, he just convinced American Evangelicals to start doing it. The first council ever convened by the Apostles was the Council of Jerusalem in 49 AD and t…

I think you’re misinterpreting that aspect of chivalry. Christian culture does not view women as morally superior to men. Masculinity is understood to be what brings the world into proper order, while femininity is understood to be the source of infinite potential that must be properly ordered. What you’re seeing within Chivalry is not moral superiority projected onto women. It’s more about the idea that women are kept insulated from the “outside” and therefore maintain a higher degree of purity…

Yessir, Eastern Orthodox. Calling myself “ultra-conservative” wasn’t really accurate though, if we’re being specific. I’d say I’m not very “conservative” at all actually, but it made sense to apply that label within the context of what I was responding to. I’ve become very traditional in the way I perceive and interpret the world, but I’m extremely open to considering any reasonable ideas. I was not raised Christian and was not indoctrinated into my beliefs; I began from the stance of positivism…

I’ve told you multiple things about what I believe, and every time you’ve proceeding to explain how you grew up around Christians so you know that I’m actually wrong about what I believe. And then you generate a fully formed ideology in your head and project it onto me. No, I am not going to pick apart every point in this projection-ideology that you’ve presented. I’ve spent enough time on Reddit this morning. I was not joking or trying to insult you when I suggested having AI analyze this conve…

You have not presented any arguments for me to engage with. You have mostly just described your negative experiences with Christianity and complained that I’m just like the people who you seem to have been harmed by. You are arguing against positions that I do not hold, so how am I supposed to engage with you? It’s genuinely shocking that you are accusing me of using “extremely moralistic language”. You could feed this conversation into ChatGPT and perhaps learn a lot about your preconceptions.

I always try to preempt these comments, but people seem to have an irresistible urge to argue with the ghosts in their head any time Christ is mentioned. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of my beliefs. Not one single bit of what you said has any relevance to how I conceptualize reality or how I apply that conceptualization towards the suffering that men are subjected to today. We cannot even begin to have a conversation rooted in ontology because you seem to be very confused on even the b…

I am an ultra-conservative Christian, but I’m also an exceptionally open minded person. If your concept of what ultra-conservative Christianity is comes from Protestantism or Roman Catholicism then I promise that the way I conceptualize sin is entirely foreign to the way you’re assuming I think about it. I am not moralizing to any degree whatsoever. I’m talking about the fundamentally disorienting and dis-integrating nature of pornography that the other things you mentioned don’t even begin to c…

One of them is a healthy integration of material reality that you’re interpreting very reductively; the other is entirely philosophical, applied top-down purely through social control, and comes from a place of pure disdain towards men. There is not an option that allows us to ignore reality and pretend as if men and women are the same. We can’t move into delusion in the opposite direction of feminists and expect to gain any meaningful ground. Edit: I’ll clarify that what I consider to be a trad…

I think the entire point applies to prostitution but not to porn. In that scenario men ARE getting at least some aspect of what they need from women; with porn it’s purely a simulacrum used to control and destroy men.

Women do consume porn, but generally I don’t believe they experience the same degree of cognitive or social dysfunction that men tend to develop from chronic porn use. The female parallel to porn, in that regard, would probably be social media or maybe Hallmark romance movies, depending on what specific aspects we’re focusing on.

I truly hope that American/Western men will stop reacting to feminist delusions with further delusions that just attempt to work in the opposite direction. Porn is probably one of the most negative forces affecting young men today. It destroys men’s motivations and relationships, and that’s why the people who hate us support it so much and try to normalize it in society. First they played the women into thinking they could escape reality via feminism, now they’re playing the men.

It wasn’t grassroots in any sense. It was a targeted campaign from a small group of highly educated and ideologically motivated women from the upper echelons of society. Grassroots implies that it arose from the popular consensus of women at the time, which it certainly did not. Grassroots also implies that feminism arose out of women’s collective lived experiences and then later developed an ideological framing around itself; in reality, the developmental trajectory of feminism was the inverse …

I’ll admit that she does make a decent point in this video, but she is a well-known man hater. She isn’t giving advice to help men reach their goals or feel content; she’s trying to discourage us and make us feel trapped, like we don’t have any options.

Sounds like your mind is made up and you aren’t interested in perspectives that don’t validate your animosity towards people on the right. If you reject everyone who doesn’t believe the exact same things as you or prioritize them in the exact order that you do then I’m afraid that you’re going to end up quite lonely. I want you to know that there’s an entire world of brotherhood and community out there where men are respected and valued. Don’t let your obsession with politics keep you from joini…

I’m deep on the right and have been heavily involved with various rightwing communities that focus on different political and cultural avenues. From my perspective, one simple reason as to why people fight so strongly against the transgender stuff is because that is the current “frontline” of the “culture war”. We weren’t around for the no-fault divorce revolution and most of the young guys were kids during the more recent marriage revolution, so the transgender line is viewed as “our line” to h…
