Normally I would ask even condescendingly if you were serious but I remembered what sub and site I'm on.

At the same time you can throw a dart at a map and hit a wartorn country with the people being pillaged, raped, displaced, killed, and they didn't have a fraction of the uproar or backlash from western (code for something else ofc) entities and social media. No further explanation needed.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/09/24 09:51 PM

yea that's why you guys struggle
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 10:54 PM

We filter through status, that's why a man who's rich, well-respected in a community, or "good at math" can potentially be a turn on because a lot of it is context based even if obviously physical looks matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/24 09:58 PM

In her defense she describes a high value man as like either "having muscles" or "being good at math". It's true, female attraction is complicated lol.

That's not the male wall he just got fat - edit: or apparently abused roids. If he leaned out again or did whatever he was doing to look like when he was younger he'd see little difference in his success. That's not taking into account how his personality might have changed over time tho or how that would affect his appeal.

almost like women don't want either a raging psycho or a limp wet towel!
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 11:51 PM
2

You just have a little bit more babyfat than most, which is something you'll learn to appreciate as you get older. Your face loses fat and volume with age, and you'll eventually look back and miss it. Although for men, there is a period of time when this leaning out makes them look better or more mature like say in the late 20s to late 30s.

If she's open to your advances and willing to hold conversation with you or giving you body language that indicates interest, you passed the looks threshold. Men who are so genetically messed up that even after physical self improvement like getting in shape, grooming and style, can't find women who are attracted to him, are rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:57 PM
1

Haha I was thinking, obviously we don't know what most of us look like but my brain still sometimes automatically assumes the avatars are a representation of what everyone resembles so reddit is just full of fat-faced punchable babyfaces.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:49 PM

"Personality multiples attraction" is simply another way to say personality helps if the looks threshold is passed. Does not mean personality doesn't matter. So we don't disagree.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:45 PM
1

There is a raw looks threshold but there is a lot of room for maneuvering afterward with other traits/qualities. If you don't accept or get this you don't understand women. Or people in general. Honestly not a surprise on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:35 PM
1

Why are you unable to think outside of absolutes? It's possible a man is so ugly lifting weights won't really do anything. The vast majority - like 99.9% - of men will enjoy more success in dating with greater muscularity and physical fitness, and a good personality, than if they had neither. The fact that a 1/10 will still get no one after getting a personality and lifting is irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:24 PM
1

Seems weird to try to say looks matter more than you think by saying "personality really doesn't matter at all" to paraphrase another new post that was made on this sub earlier. So are you saying 88% of all relationships involve a woman deciding to date a man they aren't attracted to?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:19 PM
1

And I never said looks don't matter. I said it's ridiculous to say personality doesn't matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:12 PM
1

....You can, because a man with a good personality will always be more successful in dating than a man without one all other things created equal. The fact that there is a looks threshold to pass does not change this, at all. There's no easier way for me to put it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:10 PM
1

Like I said it's pointless. You say looks is all that matters. I say what about the mid men in relationships. You say they are being settled for. Or that these women aren't actually attracted to him - but somehow decided to date him anyway. You guys have an answer for everything.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:08 PM
1

When you look around at the couples you see in public are the men all conventionally attractive winners? Although I never see a point to these conversations because you can always revert to "the mediocre men are being used as wallets."
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 10:04 PM
1

The necessity of physical attraction has always been a given. Yet even within this there is a lot of grey and subjectivity. Most women do not require a 8+/10 Chad for that threshold to be cleared.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 09:57 PM
1

...How is this revelatory? Relationships are always based on some form of physical attraction. Nobody has any trouble accepting there is a looks threshold. Why is it difficult to understand that the presence of a looks threshold doesn't mean "personality doesn't matter"?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 09:55 PM
2

We can go back and forth forever on how much looks vs personality matters. In the end to say 'personality doesn't matter' is ridiculous. Let's assume as you say most people don't have a good personality. That still means the ones, especially men, who do will see a huge boost in their dating success because of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 09:42 PM
1

That's why there are so many "personality doesn't matter" comments from the men here. Because they actually don't know what a "good personality" is or what it's like to be a socially adept human being. To them a good personality means being a shell of a person who struggles to carry on conversations but nevertheless fulfills the bare minimum of being nice and polite in public.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 09:19 PM

Do you know what "looksmatch" means?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/24 06:53 AM

It might be more that the red pill is associated with non-PC "based" truths and as you get older you become both more jaded - so less open to idealistic leftist talking points - and eyes more opened to the "way things are". Ofc the premise is that the red pill actually speaks the entire truth, so there's probably a lot of personal bias and skewed perception there at least in some cases.

If mentally ill people waited until they "fixed themselves" many would be single indefinitely. People are all sorts of fucked up and most of them date and marry.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 08:53 AM
1

That seems somewhat harsh esp coming from a hopeless romantic. Mental illness and things like anxiety, bipolar, depression etc are rampant and increasingly common among women and probably men too. I wouldn't go as far as to say all these people shouldn't expect a quality relationship or that they deserve less because "well what did you expect, you both got issues."

I don't really see the complication though. Tell men to be proactive in goal-setting, proactive in learning how to build relationships and network with others, proactive in helping out the unfortunate in their communities, proactive about physical fitness and healthy hobbies and lifestyle. While respecting others' physical autonomy and emotional boundaries, treat others as you would like to be treated, basic elementary stuff etc. I do understand men's frustration because as I said this is very s…

Yes, you can be masculine and dominant but not a dickhead. There are women out there who will date dickheads as long as they are masculine and dominant but that doesn't mean it's okay morally to be a dickhead. A lot of men get mixed messages on this because nobody has taught them to be masculine and everyone just tells them to be nice and respectful, and I understood how that can be frustrating af as well when guys who struggle see successful dickheads.

I don't know what u look like, maybe you're goodlooking maybe not, but I've seen a lot of successful OLD profiles. The men are not necessarily very handsome but they tick all the boxes of conventional appeal. Extroverted hobbies like sports, healthy social life, neurotypical demeanor and vibe. Often times yes they look "decent" or "good" but aren't really top %, but ultimately these men give women the message that they would add value to their lives if they dated them.

/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 10:54 PM

But what I mean is if a lot of women prefer that then isn't that the same as men preferring thin women aka thin men = thin women? If we can agree that beauty standards in the conventional sense in our society are more male gaze oriented.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 10:50 PM
1

I prefer men on the thinner side and so do a lot of women I know contrary to the american convention. Would prefer a little bit of muscle tone - lean, thin and athletic being the ideal - as well but it's not necessary.

We have many laws and policies, legal and otherwise, grown adults are required to follow in our society in all types of contexts. I believe the people have a right to direct answers regarding the issues they are concerned about from their potential leaders. I'm not implying there should be legal penalties for lying or evading questions, just that the moderators should be more proactive about pressing for direct answers if the participants are clearly evading them.

I'm just thinking the fact that we don't require candidates to directly answer questions as a priority - they can talk about other things or veer off on tangents if they want - just further fosters confusion and distrust and encourages deception and dishonesty. As naive as that sounds.

Well actually as I'm watching now one of the moderators just pressed Trump on the killing of the bill that would put more law officials on the border. So apparently moderators can and do choose at their discretion when to push harder.

What's the point of dividing each section by question then. The entire debate with the 1 and 2 minute timers is based off of answering a question and then the rebuttal.

I don't understand why debate moderators don't mandate candidates to directly answer questions. The initial example being Kamala not answering whether or not the country is better off now than it was 4 years ago, like cool story bro but can you answer the question? Further examples: Did Trump dodge the national abortion ban veto question and Kamala the 3rd trimester abortion question because they were both afraid of alienating the more polarizing sectors of their constituents? Disagree, it goes the other way. A lot of goodlooking men with bad social skills or awkwardness struggle even if their looks get their foot in the door. There are many women who subconsciously become more interested in a guy who is confident or laid back exactly bc it infers value and makes them wonder or assume he has achieved success in the past socially, financially, sexually, etcetera. That's why confidence works, as long as the confidence is convincing. Unless the man is esp unfortunate loo…

It's unfair, sure, but I feel like many people on this sub are pissy because women and men just aren't built the same, it'd be like women complaining about how they can never be stronger than any men they come across, utterly useless and solves nothing This happens all the time. Fat men ridiculed when they complain about not being desired but older women complaining about being invisible after 30.

Trying to approach the average plus sized model as a guy with a double chin in this era will get you laughed at and brutally mocked on her tiktok page for daring to not know your place. Not saying it's okay to be fat but seriously though this is also just another way women get very triggered when unattractive men approach or hit on them. It makes them afraid that they are on the same level due to somehow believing that men only approach women in their league. Women should be thankful men are so …

The way women talk to each other "omg love that for you" "be so for real" "your earrings are adorable" is safe and fake to preserve a type of social peace, but it doesn't necessarily imply anything good or bad. Women will still act this way on the surface whether they genuinely like each other or fucking hate each other.

I mean, it's hard for me personally to believe women are happy alone because frankly there aren't very many women who are alone (or alone for long). They are either with the man of their choice or they settle hard, because they can't bear being alone. Maybe it's b/c I don't know a lot of women over 40, or the single ones aren't social and keep to themselves, but I just go by what I see. I'm sure many men aren't happy being alone either, but it's a different story due to how much harder it is for…

That's why redpill grifters succeed. Their shitty problematic stuff is packaged alongside a lot of truths and practical advice (up your game, status, looks, masculinity). The most effective and harmful ideologies are the ones with a lot of truth in them, as they are harder to identify and dismiss. You can't even blame young men for looking to them either b/c you know the blue-pilled everyday advice dispensed from most mainstream sources is pure BS. They realized it didn't work and found that RP …

Being kind and wholesome is neutral and does nothing. That needs to be the takeaway. Men looking for dating advice need to throw that shit away and ignore articles dispensing this trash, because the problem is somewhere else. Social prowess, looks, confidence, ambition, status, money, dress. Literally anything but 'not being nice enough'.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 10:38 PM

Obviously looks help a lot. But so does masculinity, in that effeminate behavior will turn off a portion of women who were initially drawn to a man's looks. Also, masculine behavior helps men who aren't as facially or physically blessed and you see evidence of this everywhere. The fact that looks alone can help a man succeed doesn't refute any of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 10:27 PM

Lol. The 'effeminate pretty boys' are all masculine looking with angular features - kpop, e-boy, whatever. It's the boy band look that's always been popular among young women since the beginning of time. They just have good hair and skin and are young. Not having a beard or a roided-out physique doesn't mean they aren't masculine. Find me an actual feminine guy with soft undefined features and no muscle tone who gets a lot of attention. You won't. /r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 09:20 AM

The problem isn't that women only want attractive men to approach them. Most people find it awkward and uncomfortable to have to turn someone down because they just aren't interested, but it's called life and being a fucking grownup lol. But don't act or call these men you don't find attractive enough morally inferior creeps - it's not toxic masculinity, misogyny, patriarchy etc when a hot guy doing the same shit is welcome.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 01:20 AM

Women love to pull the gay card every time men talk about the blackpill or looks privilege in other men. "Looks like you're more obsessed with Chads than women are, hee hee herr" It lets them be insulting, dismissive, and self-righteous all at the same time. It's also often just straight up homophobic which is weird coming from women who are mostly and decidedly feminist and progressive.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/23 01:16 AM

It's true for the most part from what I've observed. The guy is almost always better looking than the woman. The exception is the couple that has been together for a long time and the guy, once handsome and fit when she first agreed to date him, who let himself go; he's basically a tall decent-looking guy who's gotten fat.

It's not that autistic traits in women are more attractive lmfao. It's that autism and social awkwardness hurts men way way way more than it hurts women because conversation skills and initiative, social proof, prowess, and networking translating to status are very important criteria when men are assessed.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/23 01:13 PM

What about other crucial criteria for men that are controllable and also affect men with age like facial attractiveness, hair loss, body (not every man is motivated or has the time to live in the gym past 40) etc? Aside from height it seems like men would also have very much a vested interest in keeping standards low or manageable. Men are also heavily assessed by other things like status or stability which don't necessarily come easy for many despite hard work but you don't see men starting cam…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 11:17 PM
12

Do women not view each other as competitors? I think due to biological wiring they just approach it differently. Women secretly know fat women won't ever be as attractive as thin or fit women regardless of the sociopolitical narrative but they just play along because conforming to social norms is more important to them e.g. obviously feigning kindness toward and backstabbing actual hot women and complimenting yass queen so beautiful on the instagrams of those they know aren't a threat.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 07:35 AM

So is the consensus then that OLD doesn't work b/c of hypergamy? In that only the top percent of men will find success so it sucks for men, and it sucks for women b/c it encourages these top men to just share the women and deprive them of commitment?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 04:49 PM

My bad I don't actually know how OLD works. I forget you need to swipe on the chick too to get a match.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 04:45 PM

LOL why was I downvoted for asking a question. Lotta sensitive ppl here
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 04:44 PM

Shitty average men are not going to have the chance to actually exercise their desired fuckboy lifestyle whereas shitty Chads will. Also you could say having a plethora of opportunities which is likely only for Chads encourages and propagates shitty fuckboy attitude and practices in these men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 02:39 PM

Seems highly unlikely if you are getting a few matches a day from attractive women that you wouldn't at least be getting some swipes from less attractive or average women as well unless something fishy is going on like app issues or as you say bots.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 02:24 PM

Is it commonly agreed upon here that if a woman is desperate and single approaching 30 it's because she's unwilling to date or settle for someone on her level?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 02:16 PM
1

I'm not sure how much looks have to do with how big people make it in show business. Obviously being goodlooking helps but there seems to be an equal amount of luck or connections involved. I can think of a lot of obscure low-level people in media who are more attractive (to me anyway) than the high-profile A-listers.

....how does this refute what I said? Women keep saying they are willing to stay single if the men are trash and observations say otherwise b/c women are always prioritizing getting into relationships even if the opportunities are less than ideal.

Where are these happily single women everyone likes to talk about? Almost every woman I know is in a relationship. They are either happy with their men or settling b/c being in a relationship is more important to them than being genuinely attracted to their man.
