I believe I started with Robert Bly’s “Iron John - A Book About Men” which explains how boys become men and how that process has been removed from modern society. It’s a bit of a hard read, but definitely insightful. And worth a reread after you’ve had time to digest and dig a little more for answers.
I think people have more mental health problems because we often do nothing with our lives like even having hobbies or interests. We may observe others seemingly fantastic lives on Instagram, but I don’t think it has so much to do with how physically attractive you are. I’m not discounting people with physical self esteem issues. They are out there too. I guess I just think it’s more about lacking authenticity is what makes people so depressed nowadays and comparing yourself to others. I recomme…
He most likely suggested a walk in the park due to covid shutting everything else down. It’s a meet and greet. They probably would’ve grabbed a coffee beforehand.
We’ve been deprived of male only spaces for so long I think our sense of collective brotherhood has been stolen. For a man like myself it’s made trying to figure out masculinity very difficult.
I discovered Colttaine months after his last posting and have been trying to savour his absolutely incredible MGTOW videos. I’ll rewatch them all eventually.
Jesus! You think she’s hurt your dog? You need to ditch her. I have been with someone before where I was terrified of hurting them badly, the relationship kept going much longer than it should have. In the end though it wasn’t a huge loss and people move on with their lives. She’s a grown woman. Don’t feel too sorry for her.
I wonder if a lot of guys know they’ll return to their old ways. Or if short term relationships lead to a lot of unnecessary drama. I know of older people who have long term monogamous relationships where they don’t cohabitate. But I think when a woman is younger she is really expecting a marriage proposal. Because of the societal expectations and how much of a woman’s value is placed on her not being a spinster.
She’s beautiful. We started dating at 20. I was her second boyfriend, but that’s okay. She still loves me like I was the only boyfriend she ever had. I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else.
No loss though. On to the next. Play the game a lil different and be ready for her to disappear anytime. You might get to fuck her before she splits too.
Whenever I’m in an intimate relationship with a woman I’m always out of pocket. One painful breakup after the next; I don’t believe in the institution of marriage. What’s even the point unless you plan on creating a family? I don’t need a woman’s provision or her protection. And why does it always seem like I have to own a car in order to be dateable in a woman’s eyes? Not interested anymore.
Maybe you’ve just grown older and changed. To say that you’ll never be the same is right, but it doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Try to be the best older divorced man you can be and sure enough your ex wife will turn into some ugly old hag in short order.
Women make terrible “friends” anyway. Men and women are totally different and our only real reason to associate is for creating families or at the very least an intimate partnership. As far as conversation with female acquaintances I keep it to a minimum. And I avoid topics of money, sex, religion, and politics completely.
