I found the discussion in the comments more interesting then the actual article.

2 things. Not your personal army. She is dumb and a horrible person. Ranting on the internet about it isn't going to change anything.

I find the question of alcohol(inebriation) an interesting one. We seek a definition of adequate fore thought under the influence, as we have with drunk driving. As far as I can understand, this leads to the conclusion that intoxication should not exist as the subjective nature of an individuals reaction cannot be used as a standard. But given the nature of inebriation, potential sex will be on the table because of it's relation to the nature of our species. The only way I can see this being res…

sarcasm This headline is misleading, men and women are equally violent. Men are just better at it, just like committing suicide and getting into car accidents. end sarcasm The day we can look upon one another and see no color, creed, race, or religion, but a person. Is the day I will concede that humanity has a future.

As an introvert 'independence' is a pretty high requirement for me aswell. It was your dismissal of the statement "the two become one" which imparted the most distress. While I can understand a separation of sorts during the period before children. Once you have them the assets which you were saving for alone time I feel would be better spent on the children. But what I am seeing is that these sorts of relationships result in parents trading time with their children and support for their childre…

Your post actually makes me sad. I support mens-rights but I guess I'm a romantic in that respect.

I get where your coming from I just hate being group into the stereotypical "nice guy" when, I would like to think, that I am genuine. I'm not a registered psychologist but I've been around enough that people, who know me, often come to me for advise. When I see a girl with a guy like OP described I refer to him as a "weasel" as their only interest is sex, they are just too chicken to do anything about it.

I find your analysis very short sighted almost as if you were judging them based on misconception you've read about somewhere. I am a nice guy, what that means is I don't expect anything from anyone(GGG would be an example). I do this because I genuinely care about the world around me. I have never had trouble with women but I don't care for the hunt, they usually find me.

No, but that is why I am one man disagreeing. I do concede that I do not fit into the mold of the "everyman" so maybe it is fruitless for me to express my opinion. But I will hold onto my idealism so I would seek solutions which would improve the state of affairs rather then bandage them.

That was one hell of a read but I'm still not sold. I have personally seen acquaintances of mine influenced by such a situation(I mean kids not fathers). And IMO they got screwed hard by life. The first page has a great example of a child being cared for by a man who was not the biological father, I wish there were more cases like this. What is fucked up about his situation is that he must still pay child support to a wife who cheated on him, I don't care too much for the biological father. His …

But then his reason for getting the test done is because he doesn't trust her. Or, if we are bringing society back in, then we blame society for the the statistically significant number of paternity tests that are positive. For the initial casex, if you need a piece of paper before you can trust here, your chances are already low that it will not end in divorce. And for the second case; if you let society define how your relationship goes then you will get the same result as the first case.

Thank you sir for that very concise rebuttal, have an upboat.

I will concede that you are correct as to there being a stigma in society which results in less people seeking it. And I made an error in using it as I did. However I will attempt to make my point again in a more appropriate terms. I believe I misinterpreted your initial rebuttal, but in my defense my first post and my second one both attempted to remove society from this discussion. If one ignores social pressures there is no good reason for them to even consider this test.

That is what I said, there is no stigma associated with a paternity test. The comparison between an HIV test and a paternity test, IMO, is very inaccurate. Like I said above, regardless of the outcome, you will still be a healthy human being. Its not about society, I made the comment about society because its society that would pressure couples into having this test done. There is no reason you could conceive of which would cause you to want this test, unless the reason has something to do with …

I would disagree with there being a stigma when it comes to testing for paternity because there is nothing physically wrong with having the a child that doesn't belong to you. Its an emotion response; feeling inferior that it was not you who produced the child and a lose of trust, neither of which are medically relevant(assuming you are of sound enough mind not to go into utter depression). A test is done "in case", and you have very little control over your DNA or how your environment fucks wit…

Personally I believe this falls under the same umbrella as "Should pre-nup's be mandatory". The answer to both is "I love you honey and I do trust you, it's just society that has makes me feel we need this". What I mean by this is, don't waste my tax dollars on a test which, more then 50% of the time(hopefully), would come back negative. If you don't trust your SO then have it done, there shouldn't be any red tape at that point since you've both "supposedly" exchanged bodily fluids. And if you g…

Bro you should not complain about looking young. I'm 21 now, and people who meet me tell me I look like I'm 30-35(had one guy ask for my drivers licence as proof). It's all about how you carry yourself. If you walk and act like a 12 year old, that's what they will see. Don't worry too much about your looks, i used to let my beard grow, then I thought if I shaved it I would look younger, which I did but my success didn't improve and my face was cold. Then I found the right amount of trim, which d…

The problem here is that they give too much of a fuck. Neutrality to this extreme, is unhealthy. Why can't they instead teach them to get passed the 'us vs them' mentality which is the real problem in gender roles. What I mean by this is that once a child receives a label(whether it is from gender, religion, creed..etc) they are taught, by society(who doesn't have the best intellectual track record), what being in that group means. What they should be teaching is how any label should only mean a…

Its really inspirational. We can't, in good conscience, create a button too cause troublesome women to disappear. We have a magical doorknob however. This is the doorknob to your man-cave, a place she cannot go without the key. Which you must hide well. It takes great financial stability to afford such a luxury as a man-cave. That is why you must beat her at her own game, if she wants you to get more money thinking you'll spend it on her "accidentally spend it on yourself until you have acquired…

This is some fucked shit. Two points I would like to add to this argument. I personally know a couple who got married when the woman was 18 and the guy was 34, they are currently doing fine and have a lovely 3 year old son. I also know a former couple where the woman did have a personality disorder. From my experience and understanding of this disorder it would be healthy for the mother to be able to visit the son once a month, at most. If she truly wants to better herself then there should be n…
